Hybrid Vehicle Tax

    so, just getting my head around this, a 1.5ltr petrol Hybrid self charging car is apparently €180 annual cost >
    But a 1.5ltr Petrol car vehicle tax is €514 .

    Now, i know the Hybrid more economical …… but they both have 1.5Ltr Engines in them and when the car (either one) is Idling or Running the same amount of Co2 Carbon emissions come out at the tailpipe at the rear of the car!

    I am sure someone will explain it to me better (apart from the obvious that Hybrid cars are more economical)
