Why am I modding Twitter, for free?

LinkedIn have introduced something similar and it’s simply to drive engagement on the platform. It’s the “Ask An Expert” thing where people are invited to answer questions. I’ve no idea how to stop it or block it or turn off the notifications because it’s just incredibly annoying.

If anyone knows how to stop it that’d be great 😂

My understanding of Community Notes is that it's an improved version of what Wikipedia does to verify/curate information.

Wikipedia's obvious flaw is the bias among it's moderators, leading to obviously bias political pages (especially biographies). For non political information it remains a fantastic resource, though.

Community Notes tries to fix this bias issue by having a variety of political beliefs amongst the moderators, and a kind of voting system when it comes to verifying/contradicting information posted.

You'd obviously know more than I, since you're actually involved it, but judging by the posts in this thread, a lot of people don't actually know what it is. (I hope. Perhaps they do and they just don't agree with removing bias.)

This all back to then not being responsible for the content on their platform clause that means they’re not publisher. If they employ people as gate keepers or editors of what is on the site, they are liable for anything posted.
This free community notes way, they avoid liability, cost and keep people coming to the site.

The motoring forum had lost all its mods bar one. Zombie threads and personal abuse, while not rampant, are not dealt with quickly anymore or just ignored.

It's great for broader based views on the world. My Spanish reading and aural comprehension is v.good but I have an awful accent still when speaking it. Mainly due to not living there anymore and a lack of use on my part.

I started learning when I moved to Spain in 90's. Spent 4 yrs living there in total and travel back often. I do get tied up sometimes when I have to run through my thoughts in my head in English before I try and get them out in Spanish.

Fair play OP, Those Notes can be very useful and revealing.

A high point of Community Notes for me:
