anyone know of anyone still making these sorts of rifles, i know that they were banned in the uk but with the semi auto cf rifle ban here they might be an alternative

After the UK ban the company that made one, Caledonian, went out of business.

SGC made the other but they also stopped post ban.

I'd recommend looking into restricted shotgun comps, they are about the most fun you can have sans cf handguns and CFSA rifles.

Semiauto rimfire rifles are also excellent, so I'd recommend you look into them also.

There are still avenues for fun open, but if they aren't utilised then they will go too.

There are a couple of French gunsmiths/companies that do conversions of the CZ 56 rifle to MARS. Schmeisser in Germany are also interested in doing an AR version but their R&D is overworked to take on a niche market(at the moment).

CZ make a lever release for the Australian market (CZ 515).

There are also a austrailian made LARS. It's pretty hard to get a SACF in Australia, unless you are a professional. So LARS/MARS/Straight Pull modifications are common. The latter being most common

cz seem to still sell them,as they’re full semi-semi automatic rifles ,i’m gonna look into one of the vz58 rifles,the barrel may be a problem as it’s 16 inches and the importing .but i’ll keep yall posted

Other than rimfires and shotguns, there's only the Verney Carron lever release over in Australia. However, there is a company developing a 9mm lever release. Looks good, however it's going to be at least 4 grand, not including tax and shipping so not great for the majority of us.

There was a Turkish company developing a 223 lever release, but I think they stopped due to Aus Police importing regulations.

thanks for that ,i didn’t think about the aussies and now the kiwis would also be developing one ,i think it’s still a niche market in ireland for a lever release or MARS action rifle most likely just target shooters
