No, that's Terri Thorpe, not Patricia Ryan, but both are blondes. In the photo below, Patricia (who like her holidays) is on the left, and Terri is the third person.

This seems to bet the most accurate listing of who has declared (albeit not all registered yet I'd say) so far. I think both Indpendent councillors in Celbridge are running again and aren't there, yet (Cussen ex SF but elected Ind last time; Liston ex GP)

The Kildare Returning Officer website should, at some point, have one. As of now, it does not.

The final date for nominations was Saturday.

It might seem an odd question regarding the Green Party Local Election candidate for Leixlip. Pretty sure he didn't knock on my door or drop any leaflets in my letterbox. The Liffey Champion couldn't get in touch with him.

Thanks. Makes sense. Although personally I can't understand why some would let their name go forward and then not campaign. I'd say it was a waste of time but I suppose they didn't put in any time to waste:)

So we’ve to vote people based on their gender now and not what they do. I assume they just mean women and not other genders that some people define themselves as. Does that not go against democracy?
