BYD Atto3

I've been using a tethered EO Mini (not pro) for three years, first with Mini SE and more recently an Ioniq 5 and a Fiat 500e. Can't comment how it might work with Atto but has been faultless for me. Cars manage any schedule without issue.

I see a lot of Attos/Seals on the road these days. The price of these cars doesn't seem to be exceptionally cheap. Why would anyone prefer BYD over similarly priced VW/Tesla EVs? Any thoughts on this?

My best guess is that BYD is selling these cars way below sticker prices directly to businesses/taxi companies etc.

most 4 door saloons with these features are coming in around the 70k valuation banana's.

The low GMFV and high PCP rate (6.2%) make the monthly payments pretty eye watering for cars that are priced at the lower end of the market.

I don’t so much mean in the media interface but just cars operating system is slicker and the app works better on the Teslas. Having said that the lack of CarPlay and android auto is a minus so they don’t have it perfected plus no physical buttons. Actually I like Renaults use of android automotive for the cars operating system in the megane and upcoming scenic. CarPlay is still an option on it. Haven’t seen their app though so can’t comment on it.

I got a duplicate order from Topbyd, the first delivery got delayed in Dublin Airport for 3 weeks, they sent a replacement and the original arrived a week after the replacement. They dont want the original shipment back. I have installed all three items on my Att0 3. Collection N Kildare as in ads.

Have you each artist loaded in separate folders on the USB Stick, you should then get a list of each artist when you go into the USB stick click on that artist and all the songs in that folder should play after each other, if you want another artist you then have to click on that and so on.

I bought my atto 3 last August. what is the story with the service which was included in the purchase price? Do you contact the dealership and arrange for it? when - is it after 12 months? Grateful for info please.

Just bought a 231 Atto 3 and have so say I am very happy with is so far.

the only small gripe I have is the radio, it can't seem to get one of my favourite stations. Otherwise its great.

About 18k on the clock. Yes front tyres. They weren’t at the legal limit but there wasn’t a year left in them either.

I bought it from topbyd and installed it myself. Theres a few install videos on youtube.

I had to file a few mm off the existing plastic box that houses the camera, I couldnt get the cable to sit flush inside the box, the filing isnt visible and I should have started feeding the cable from the bottom up - it would have been easier to pass it from the back of the glove box to the door pillar.

The camera is a tiny little thing, dealership aren’t too keen to install it for me so it’s time for me to watch YouTube videos. Simple enough task as long as I don’t break one of the 7th retaining clips for the mount and assuming that it’s wired for the camera.

Had a great discussion with the dealer today trying to get them to install the camera if the cable is preinstalled. But as the kit I purchased has both the camera and the cable, I also have the option to have it done later.

I had to jump start the 12 v battery and now the interior lights and the overhead switches for the sun roof and sun shade are not working. Anyone now a solution for this.

Has anyone got the 1.7 update yet?

The UK seem to have got it in fact they are getting 1.7.1

Got the OTA update this evening didn’t read release notes but few bits I can see are heated seats on the main screen and the navigation app has a bit of an overhaul with route planning. Tried entering a few locations and it planned it with the required amount of stops. It looked pretty good and will be interesting to see how accurate their planning is for range accuracy.

I didnt drive after updating but the one thing I did notice is there is a scale of sensitivity for the speed limit recognition its default is 0 but goes to +/-2 this may have been there previously but I hadn’t seen that setting before.

Ah ok as I said I haven’t seen it before I have never had it work any good in Ireland. When was in the uk it seemed to work better but still not great.

Ever since the latest update I'm constantly getting notifications for "congestion ahead" and "school zone ahead" any idea how to turn this off?
