Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

just for clarity these are used, not new.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,656 ✭✭✭thebiglad

As they are in ear headphones unlikely to be used and, I posted that they are Amazon warehouse (hence the price).

With so many pairs available I am hoping they are actually new and they just found some stock lying around - find out tomorrow - its not unheard of with Amazon.

When they arrive the ear tips (selection of sizes) are attached to a rubber strip and have to be removed from that to be used - it will be very clear if they have been 'tested' - if that is the case then, back they go or, Amazon discount them further - it's not hard to come by ear tips for such headphones and I already have a set of 65t Jabra anyhow which were purchased new.

As with any Warehouse purchase, which I know to my disappointment on a few occasions - there's a bit of a gamble and weigh up whether saving is worth the potential hassle of a return.

At £25, to me its worth it.

If they have to go back, not the end of the world.

Been considering picking up these for a while, just got a 'like new' pair for €30. Thanks OP

Still some like new ones available if people are looking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 310 ✭✭HopsAndJumps

Ah feck, I ordered these after seeing the thread and I didn't read the fine print. They will arrive tonight, the fine print say that the user will need to order replacement earbuds. I hope at least that its just the silicon and that I didn't just order a case.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭Bawnmore

Has anyone received them yet? The few reviews are all from people who received them and they wouldn't take a charge at all. Obviously not a big deal as can just be refunded but I'd love to hear from at least 1 person who got them here 1st at least.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,391 ✭✭✭Invincible

I saw that on some offer, but not on the as new option.

Hi i ordered yesterday "like new" delivery due this saturday, will report result then

  • Registered Users Posts: 50 ✭✭Duit

I got mine today. Ordered ones that said very good with some minor imperfections. So far I cant find any imperfection or sign of usage. They come with new set of earbuds and perfectly packed. I will charge them now and report back if any issue is found but so far so good

Edit: Left earphone doesn't seem to turn on. I read that it's a common issue. There might be the reason why there is plenty of stock… If someone finds a solution please let me know

Edit 2: I continue reading plenty of problems about connectivity issues on this headphones. I asked for a return

I went for a set of these as well but it was doa, Amazon are refunding me & I've thrown them in the WEEE bin at work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,998 ✭✭✭BailMeOut

I have a set of these for about 5+ years and they are great for work. One complaint is that if you do not insert both in to both ears at around the same time only one will work. Not a huge deal but you cannot put in one and then the other. Both need to be insertered more or less at same time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭Bawnmore

Has anyone actually received a working pair? Seems like the experiences here match the latest Amazon reviews unfortunately.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,710 ✭✭✭ahlookit

they came perfectly packed, but the right earbud is completely dead. Left one has flashing LED when I put it back in the case, but nothing for the right one….off to customer service…

Presume ye have tried charging them up?

Not looking good so far… 😮

Just a suggestion, but people might try and clean the contacts on the buds and case with some isopropyl alcohol (or vodka if you’re stuck). I bought a different brand a couple of months ago that seemed to be stone dead, but 30 secs with a qtip sorted the issue.

Another DOA set here, supposed to be "like new".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,057 ✭✭✭bilbot79

I ordered when I saw this thread and then cancelled once I read it

Mine are DOA as well. I'm returning them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 442 ✭✭shovel

Not a peep out of my set either

    Very disappointing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,183 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

Nothing out of mine either, kind of expected once I saw the thread and then when I saw the amount of dusk on the box I was certain they wouldn't work

  • Registered Users Posts: 3 Shanawill

Another dead set here, will be sending back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,124 ✭✭✭jacool

Mine looked spotless, but are powerless. No LEDs on buds :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,138 ✭✭✭Mervyn Skidmore

Bought a couple of other products that were DOA from warehouse despite the "like new" description. I'd be reluctant to buy another electronic product from warehouse, chances are it's faulty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 307 ✭✭kildare75

same as most, arrived today but no led on left bud despite charging case fully. tried all the work arounds but dead as a duck. sending back. shame though as decent earbuds if they worked.

    thanks op all the same.

I use the Soundcore Space A40. Not as good as the Bose wired earphones the replaced, but at about a fifth of the cost they do a pretty good job. I rarely use them for calls but wor walking in windy conditions and travelling on planes they are pretty decent. Might be worth considering as an alternative to the Jabra65t, at not much greater cost.

  • Registered Users Posts: 212 ✭✭stoves1

Arrived yesterday "like new" the box etc was impressive but after charging etc both dead as a door nail, ah well did try!

    Thanks opp

Sorry everyone - seems like not even 1 of of us got a working set - maybe we can combine and make a couple of working sets!!

Shocking by Amazon and unfortunately seems typical of Warehouse lately - how many defective sets are they just recycling - surely it's better even for them to return them to the manufacturer and get their money back than keep posting them out and incurring return postage/restocking costs.

We need a group action on this one against Amazon so basically rather than the 'hassle' of returning them we simply all get refunded and bin them on their behalf.

Warehouse used to be so much better but, like another poster, I think I am going to avoid anything electrical from warehouse in the future.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,030 ✭✭✭opus

Guess they know about these particular items being problematic as they didn't want me to return them but told me to bin them. Refund arrived over the weekend.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,558 ✭✭✭✭Esel

Few videos on YT showing how to replace the earbud batteries if you're so inclined. Bit of wiring and soldering involved.

Anyone want to have a go? They would be like new then...

Hi. At what point in the return process di Amazon ask you not to return. I wouldn't mind opening these up to see if can be repaired.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,860 ✭✭✭v10

Mine arrived yesterday. Left earpiece doesn't work .. submitted return, but I have to return to get refund, so that part seems random.

  • Registered Users Posts: 212 ✭✭stoves1

Agree, they are obviously hoping people will not bother to send back, i am in the process of returning ( a pain) and i wont get refunded until some days after they recieve them back

Mine DOA too. Got to keep them and refund on the way.

Saw this on Reddit:There is a known defect with the 65T ear bud batteries. Kept on the shelf too long as brand new, they drain down to 0 and cannot be charged when purchased.

Wonder if any of the electronic shops could do a job on them. Would be happy to sink a few euro into getting them working!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 380 ✭✭smilgy

If anyone doesn't want to keep their broken ones after the refund, I'd like to have an attempt at repairing a set. Seems possible with a bit of effort, but probably not worth providing as a service..

Happy to pay the cost of postage!

2 Zenipower batteries and tools from AliExpress <€12 incl shipping

You can also get "Varta" brand * but I read that the Zenipower might be more long-lasting.

Mine need to go back, something about 3rd-party seller via Warehouse, must be returned for refund.

As above, if anyone is binning them, I would also be grateful for a dud set. .

    * they say Varta, but it's Aliexpress...

For the people who did not have to return them. Did you just go through the normal refund process? I have tried this with my set as they are dead but it is giving me the option to return with an post

Just don't want the hassle of going to the post office if I don't have to

Mine arrived today and the left earbud was dead. I got onto customer care and said I wasn’t going to leave work early to go to the post office just because their warehouse should be doing a better job on checking items before they’re dispatched. She backed down and told me to dispose of them myself while issuing the refund.

    Legend!

When can I expect them? 😉

Missed my delivery yesterday, collected them from post office today and they will not charge.

I perservered and got through to a human in customer care, explained my dilema/anger and unwillingness to undertake another journey to the post office miles away. My refund is being sent back to my card and I can do what I wish with the item. For the sake of 12 euro I'll have a go at repairing them.

My order delivered today, put them in Case and change until light stopped blinking. Tried to turn on,got a green light on left one,but couldnt get blue led on right one for pairing. Downloaded app,but no advance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,656 ✭✭✭thebiglad

Most of us failed on the left earbud - perhaps we can get a working set - mine went back yesterday, Amazon insisted on return but credited me £5 for my efforts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,743 ✭✭✭podge3

So ......I bought another set of these after returning my "like new" faulty set. Yes, I know, almost 100% failure rate from posters on here, but I'm the eternal optimist.

This time I went for an "acceptable" set for about £20. They arrived this morning and guess what - they work!

There were most certainly used, though, lost of scratches etc. No sign of ear detritus on the buds, however, maybe Amazon changed them?

Anyhoo, I gave the buds and case a good disinfecting with alcoholic before I used them. By chance, I looked into the speaker opening (with the buds removed) and both were full of a dried waxy-looking substance 🤮.

I'm no prude but I won't be sticking these into my lug hole, no matter how well I clean them. Back they go again.

Has anyone received their refund? The earbuds I returned have not made it to Amazon yet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 198 ✭✭Darby_321

Anyone else that doesnt need to return them and instead of throwing them out please give me a shout. Wouldnt mind opening them up and trying to fix them.
