Things to do in York

Ah yes the dinners out will be important lol. It's getting to the stage where I have to carry an emergency bar of chocolate in my handbag as my boyfriend gets hangry 😄

I have tickets booked for th Viking museum as for some unknown reason he's quite interested in seeing the oldest Viking poop (heaven help us)

I've researched this a lot lol and the difference isn't much whether it's Leeds Bradford or Manchester airport. The big difference seems to be the price and the times.

We stayed in The Queens Hotel. Reasonably priced, nice clean rooms and handy parking. They have a parking garage where you park in and you're within handy walking distance to the town, just over the bridge and you're in the town. It's a bit dated looking inside but for me that's neither here nor there.

Just to say a quick thank you for all the recommendations, the Railway museum was infact fantastic to see! We took a guided walk which was interesting, visited the shambles, had the biggest roast beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding all stuffed inside a wrap of some sort 🤣, passed Betty's tea room but couldn't justify the money for morsels of food....looked like a lovely place. I will say that there is a bakery every 3 doors down lol which is great and one of the above comments is right it's such a beautiful friendly place to walk around.
