That is a Ford Anglia/Escort derived van - looks mint. They used to be everywhere.

Pity you did not capture the reg plate to age it correctly.

Crikey! What is that Ferrari (H6944) worth!!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 147 ✭✭Hey2.Hey2

If not a replicar, a 1966(ish) Ferrari 275/275 GTS convertible would sell for about £1.2M to £1.5M - not the most expensive Ferrari but, in convertible form at least, one of the very best looking from any era (My opinion only).

Imagine parking a car worth that at the side of the road with the hood down!

  • Registered Users Posts: 147 ✭✭Hey2.Hey2

I have a feeling it's a replicar. The trim is too good and the hood covering is certainly not original (There were pop fasteners for the cover on the original). Of course, it could have been re-trimmed but originality is everything in a car like that so an original pattern hood/covering should have been fitted. Also, the gearstick should run in an exposed slotted gate and a few other details are not correct (Door cards for one)

Again, just my opinion. Apologies to the owner if s/he is running an original.

An elderly guy down the road from me drives a 96 Mk4 fiesta. From what I understand he has had it from new. It looks like its in better condition than many of the six or seven year old cars I see about. Also, if he has had it from new - 28 years - that's incredible value for money.

I don't even know what this is

I don't believe I've seen this type of Mini before

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,962 ✭✭✭✭elperello

The blue car is an NSU Prinz.

The Mini is a cabriolet. It's not a factory built one. There were quite a few independent conversions.

    Both are rare spots.

    Nice bmw

See a 1989 reg Jetta just like the one below almost daily and its in great nick. An oul lad who drives over and back to the village and I say he nearly had it since new. When I think that I remember those cars new and that the equivalent to seeing and 89 today is seeing a car from 1954 in 89 it does make you feel old

The Proton and Alfasud are excellent spots.

Still common around, but I always like seeing these old Octavias living on. Letterkenny Shopping Centre earlier

Might have gotten a proper photo of this old Mk2 Fiesta if I'd arrived at the carpark a minute earlier, but at least caught a reasonable view on the dashcam. LHD model, and very impressed by how well it looked. Lidl Donegal Town

Nice find. There must have been a fan of these in the Department of Transport for a while as the 8 remaining Protons were listing on the annual bulletin of vehicle statistics for years. Great to finally see one of them!
