Air to water Heat pump or immersion to heat water?

    Which is the most efficient (cheapest) way to heat water for house? I have a pretty efficient house and don't use the heat pump for heating underfloor for 8 months of the year. Is is it cheaper to use the air to water heat pump or the immersion to heat water for washing, showers etc?
