can I ask if the regular bus services around Galway City accept both cash and debit cards. And also a TFI sort of Leap Card? Asking for a relative who is bringing a small class of Spanish students over for a school trip and isn't sure of best method. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

Pretty sure it's only cash and the Leap Card.

Correct. No debit cards. If they are travelling as a group please ask the teacher / leader to pay for everyone on a single leap card: drivers can easily take 20 fares in one transaction, and it makes things easier for everyone.
