Sending the lads down a box of chisels or a socket set would be far more useful for their life to earn wages so to speak.

Very, very self-indulgent angst from this wan. And Duffy.

    I mean, priorities!

Sinead needs to get real - she lives in lala land if she thinks instruments are what the kids need

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,236 ✭✭✭LambshankRedemption

A semi decent saxophone, you will get about 500 quid for second hand.

With the cost of living crisis, I wonder how many people will be giving away that kind of money?

Once Sinead has gathered all these instruments, how is she going to get them over to Nairobi?

Will she be on again in a few weeks looking for funding?

There is no way Fathead listens to classical music.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,973 ✭✭✭NeinNeinNein

She probably has lots of flags on her social media.

    "How's your free coffee?"

"not bad Joe, but your pay is definitely better"

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,101 ✭✭✭archfi

They could get a record player, a couple of speakers and people could donate their old classical records. Instad of trying to setup a slum orchestra which I'm sure would make a great Hollywood movie.

Then Sinead and all the 'booriful ladies' at their coffee mornings and friends' radio shows could devise some devious plan to help the slum kids live somewhere safe and warm.

Hang up Joe! This sounds like yer wan.. Samantha Cookes/Carrie Jade Williams trying to pull another scam.

She got thru on the fifth attempt!

Most Irish kids wouldn't have access to these expensive instruments and expensive lessons, but sod them. The kids in Nairobi come first.

She's just said "every kid in the world should have access to music instruments".

    Again, what about Irish kids?

A lot of the people who do this kind of charity work abroad are looking for something to add to their CV and to give themselves a sense of smugness.

Yeah, it's dull and wet where I am in dublin.
