Looking forward to seeing Georgia next, hoping for a win for them

Czechia weren’t up to much against Portugal

Turkey v Portugal @ 5 pm should be a good one

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

Last day of the three games a day, it's good that we're getting to the serious bit, but the early part of a tournament is the fun part.

Ah it's a bittersweet day when the deluge of non stop games stops.

Remember the opening week of the last world cup when there was four games a day: that was absurdly brilliant.

CZ all over the Georgians should be a couple up at least

Dutch player is offside…and very clearly offside… and then he interferes with play.

If he was onside, he could interfere as much as he likes (Without Fouling of course)

How can you not see this? It has nothing to do with the keeper saving the first shot (And being onside for the first shot), it is when the other Dutch player takes the second shot…he is offside .

Entirely against run of play Georgia go in 1 nil up through a peno at stroke of halftime after missing a sitter then Czechs almost level!

Georgia are not much better than when we used to play them annually. They have absolutely no clue how to defend and if Czech Republic don't win this game they will be livid.

    I love these Georgians.

    Edit: Bah, I cursed them.

I missed most of the second half but the Georgian keeper has kept them in this game throughout.

    Ah Georgia....

You kinda knew they were going to balls that up.

I only came in as they broke out and he skied it over the bar!! That’s going to be hard to live with.
Edit: Just seen the replay and the crazy bounce, he might feel a bit better.

Sagnol our new manager? What do you think? I'd take him.

as they said in commentary, going from Georgia to Ireland would be a step down for him….. though quite possibly a step up in terms of security & personal safety)

I'm not sure. Georgia have a couple of good players but our squad is stronger overall. He'd have more to work with, on a bigger salary and with zero expectations, he'd be free to just go for it.

Cool finish from the Turkish defender 🫣

And that great poacher O.G. strikes again to give Portugal a 2-0 lead v Turkey.

That's one for the blooper reel from the Turkish defender playing a blind backpass to the keeper… rolled into the net.

Perfect, just enough pace to beat defender and goalkeeper 😁
