What do you mean? They are going for 5 in a row! Is it even worth us turning up? Cork barely beat Offaly and Dublin! We all know Limerick are unstoppable in Croke Park, backed by a billionaire, generational team etc!!!

We might just as well fulfil the fixture but what chance do we have…….

Look if we lose then i'm sure we can keep the losing margin down to under 10 points! The bottom line is unless we improve on our performances against Offaly and Dublin then the show is over for this year.

There's a huge performance in us against Limerick i'd like to think, but we'll need a bit of luck to see them off as well.

I just worry about our tactics in defence and our lack of defensive organization in general. I just fear that like that all Ireland final in 2021 that they could really go to town on us there.

Probably better off going in written off, we may perform then but I can't see us getting the good start v Limerick again. That was vital in our last victory.

game was over before dublin started to fight , they were miles off their men and cork took the foot off the gas , it never look liked costing them the game but its highly unlikely to happen again at any time two weeks sunday

Up 1-05 to 0-5 at the half. Haven’t looked potent going forward but snuck in a goal shortly before half time. Scoreline probably a bit flattering at the minute. Fairly desperate game in terms of entertainment.

You are dead right. Spent 5 mins holding possession then go forward into final third. 5 secs later our keeper has the ball again. Absolutely brutal

I'm afraid it's time for Cleary to go, that was putrid stuff.

No ambition at all shown today. It must come from management when no one has a shot and they pass it around to death. Both teams were bad but Cork just gave them the incentive with endless passing going nowhere and bad misses when they actually had a shot.

Cleary should have been saying stop going backwards when we are in their defence. It is infuriating to watch. Simple basics.

What got me was that the player who had tried to work a goal from a slim chance and we got nothing from was then the same fella a few minutes later who took the point from Louth’s botched kick out.

To be honest, Cork missed some decent goal chances but Louth had at least one too and were slightly more adventurous when they had the ball. Can’t really complain about the result.

What really hurts for me is how incompetent we are tactically and that’s been the case for years and multiple managers. I’m under no illusions and know we don’t have the personnel at the minute to be challenging for the all Ireland but we played like the underdogs trying to hold a narrow lead at times today.

The largest county in Ireland with the most clubs, and we've only won three senior all Irelands in football in the last fifty or so years. What a damming statistic that is.

We're probably at least five to six years away from winning a senior football all Ireland as well imo.

I think I’ve posted it before, possibly to yourself, but I think the size of the county played its part in getting Cork football to where it is now due to complacency. Well behind the curve in multiple areas behind the scenes like player development and tactics for probably over a decade and we’ve been suffering for the most of a decade now. But sure look at our beautiful stadium!

It’s not that long ago we could nearly play our bench against counties like Louth and have a good chance at the win such was our pick. Now that is our level and I don’t think many counties fear drawing Cork.

Even that team under Counihan was poor at times with regards to tactics. That team left at least two all Ireland behind them imo. The 1989/1990 team should have won a couple more all Irelands as well. That five year plan that was launched in 2019 was a load of hot air. Just rip the whole thing up and start again, and go outside the county for the next senior football manager. I don't care if it's a Kerry man either!

We appointed John Cleary about ten years too late imo. Please god the hurlers will put up a show against Limerick. If it's yet another Croke Park hiding from them then Cork GAA will be plunged into a very dark place. It's been over ten years since we won a league and Munster title now as well. We've just been a very mediocre footballing county post 2012 sadly.

Well that was awful stuff today...not really surprised though to be honest...you know the real takeaway from me is how shite of a sport Gaelic football is...cannot understand the obsession with it...I really only watch Cork and then the semi finals and final and I keep asking myself why do I do it...it really is awful

I’m not sure I grasp the benefits of the current tactics. We end up funneling so much possession down the sidelines that it aids the defence and rarely take advantage of the space left in the middle. All seems very predictable particularly when we seem to only have a handful of players wanting to take shots on.

Not sure if TOS is the answer he has won nothing with Kerry either on a managerial role.

This has been the case for a few years now. In 2022 Stephen Sherlock took two 45's against Dublin in Croke Park in the All-Ireland quarter-final and didn't score from either of them. A few weeks later Kerry's Seanie O Se scored from a 55 metre free to beat Dublin.

That's the difference.
