Kaleidoscope 2024 Camping - Yippee?

Myself, my wife and our 4 year old are going to Kaleidoscope this year. Never been before but we fancied taking the wee fella to his first festival. Looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time! 😁

Regarding camping, I was tempted to go for the boutique camping (Yippee tents). Has anyone used these? Would the 2 person bell be grand for 2 adults and a 4 year old? Whats the camping like down there in general? Safe enough?

I dont think they have been at Kaleidoscope before. The campsites are great though and not too far from the entrance so may not be totally necessary unless you dont want to slum it!

Does anyone know if an awning tent can be attached to a camper and how big? I've a transporter and have a 3 pod tent to attach.

Yes, though we ask you be mindful not to interfere with the space of your fellow festival families! Please note that if your awning is considered a fire/safety hazard, you may be asked to remove it.

Avid festival goer ....but first time going to Kaleidoscope and as a family unit rather than a singleton. Wondering does everyone bring in their camping chairs into arena for day time music to sit when spending day with kids ? Just trying to figure out do I pack the cart for wheeling chairs and toddler or just the buggy .... they are too bulky to bring both :)

Yep. Very common to see families going around with those little trailer things, loaded with chairs and anything kids might need in them. Also common to see kids thrown into them too, fast asleep.

I saw one of those trolleys with a kid asleep in it. the dad reached in, lifted the blanket and exposed a layer of cans!

I won't lie I've done the buggy with a hidden layer of cans under the actual cushion of the seat.... but the child is a bit too big for that now. She'd surely expose me 🤣

My own method of choice last year was cans in the camping chair bags as they were only searching backpacks
