    Biden seems to have gone very suddenly downhill. He always was a bit doddery but he at least seemed generally competent when he was here 14 months ago. Totally different to the guy from last night.

    My favourite TV show is the West Wing and there is a scene where the VP nominee is on the phone with the Presidential nominee, the day before the debate, and he tells him "You got a debate prep session today? Blow it off, go to the movies or something"

    I think maybe, Biden did so much prep he got bumfuzzled by the facts and was tired by the preparations.
