    Braindead from management and players

  • Registered Users Posts: 519 ✭✭✭Conversations 3

They better come out a different team in extra time.

    Tipp deserved to win that.

Stupid wides and going for goals when a handy point would have done.

That last 10 minutes was an example of how not to play. The potshots from halfway were horrible to watch. I know they're Minors but still that was so poor.

How many wides were driven in the last 15 minutes when there was a better option closer to goal. Wouldn’t pass it. Absolutely scandalous decision making. Can’t blame management for that.

tipp very unlucky with all the chances at the end. Not even sure another red would make any difference, no plan at all on how to use the extra players at half time

    I

Ah here, it's a very tough game for young KK playersto manage. Nobody saw this coming. The criticism I have is how selfish the players are particularly the forwards. Glaring example no 22 not passing in final minute after fantastic run through the centre.two inside went for own score, blocked and cleared. Happened too often.

Great to be here to witness it. Regardless of the result, one of the great Tipperary performances. Very smart, brave young men to put in a performance like that after being down to 13 for so long. A credit to everyone.

I don't think I have ever agreed with mullin2r before ... But he is right.

An absolute shitshow from the minors. Tipp deserve this. They have been incredible.

yeah, some performance, kept the heads and worked the ball well. Long time with 13

Some apes on the line for Tipp

what do you expect when getting rode, last lineball hadnt crossed the line either. Linesmen worse then the ref.

The Kilkenny wides aren't even close at this stage, unless Tipp start cramping up they should win it. Extra time no different to what we saw in the second half.

madness that Tipp can find a man in space easier than KK

    Oh mother of god

Well done to Tipp, the better team today. Very hard to stomach that having had a 2 man advantage for 40 minutes or more.

That was so poor, now fair play to Tipp that was an excellent performance down to 13. But the lack of game management and composure from our players was so bad. I know they're young fellas but still there should be some level of composure there not the headless play that we saw.

Kept the heads against Clare and completely lost them here.

TIpp totally deserved it. Kilkenny absolutely horrendous. Mentally cldnt deal with being 2 men up. Lacklustre. Brain dead stuff. They probably wldnt have won 15 on 15 anyway. Or 14 v 15.

But 1 or 2 less brain dead/selfish attacks and they would have snuck it.

Totally embarrassing given the circumstances. Hope people are around these young men to keep an eye on them in the near future but there's no dressing that up for what it was. A sh*tshow. And save me 'lay off- they're only children' do-gooder crap. This is kilkenny- more is expected.

Niall Bergin shouldn't be let near a go games half times exhibition match after this.

not at all, were you watching the game at all?

  • Registered Users Posts: 226 ✭✭thelostboys23

Unforgivable from the sideline. 15+ mins in the dressing room at HT to get the 2 spare men right and a further 10 mins before ET again for another go at getting it right and if anything KK were worse again in ET. Bergin and the management will be hammered as not being up to it at this level, or any level given that game today and several more games throughout the year.

Well done to Tipp. The longer that went on the more Tipp would have won by. They were far superior an outstanding for 60+ mins against 15.

From a coaching and tactical setup mixed with the overall use of the ball, Kilkenny were destroyed. Absolutely destroyed on the sideline.

Woodlock made bits of Niall Bergin on the sideline.

    Fair play to Tipperary.

All those wides didn't help. Same with the semi against Clare and St. Kierans in the school's final. Where are our top quality forwards gone? We are just not producing them

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,916 ✭✭✭randd1

    Individuals beaten by a team.

    Best way to describe it.

Tipp just didn’t out hurl us, they bullied us in the air, on the ground, in the tackle, in their desire, in the fight. A 15 v 15 game and we we would have been battered.

I don’t know was it the nerves of playing a final in front of a home crowd, but they just had nothing in the head today.

And once again a Kilkenny side weren’t mentally able for a national final. It’s becoming too regular an occurrence when we get there.

A bad day for Kilkenny hurling.

management had the players in three times and still couldn’t sort it. If it’s not there fault whose fault is it.

And had them back on the pitch 2/3 minutes before Tipp each time, he mustn't of had much to say to them.
