How much would a brand new PlayStation 3 60GB console worth?

Considering a bottle of Windex just sold for two grand in Japan there recently, I'd say you could be looking at early retirement here.

Madness aside, I agree there's going to be someone out there who'll drop very decent coin on a sealed unused BC PS3…it's a nice item. I would say though you'll likely have to go international (eBay) with this one, as the market for things like this in Ireland is virtually non existent unless you're willing to accept very low offers. Make sure you insure it for posting (additional insurance beyond what registered international post already costs), and I'd take a chunk of pictures of it being carefully boxed up etc (there's always tossers out there who might claim all kinds of stuff via PayPal to get their hands on this for cheap/free, so be triple sure to cover yourself with pictures, insurance, etc if the value is big.)

Whoever buys it will be doing so to keep it sealed. You'll instantly shave off a zero by breaking the seal. They're not buying it for the console. It's all about that seal.

Pretty much. It's why people who collect sealed things are so incredibly anal about analysing the seal itself. Lengths that a normal person would consider insanity.

There are literally videogame grading companies that will seal your sealed game in perspex for you after a deep analysis to prove whether the seals are legit.

Could I buy a few ps5 now, never open them and get a 700% return in 15 years so?

Is there any significance of the PS3? Seems an easy investment if true

My understanding was always that the PAL 60GB PS3 had the PS2 GPU, but not the CPU. So still good compatibility, but not as good as the NTSC 60GB which I think had both CPU and GPU.
