Everyone reading the thread is looking at the thread. Can you please give an example and please keep on topic? e.g. all your posts about Travellers etc probably could be put in a separate (but equal?) thread. thanks

did Ebun ever actually apologise to the hotel in question and admit she got it completely wrong?

Did she ever apologise to the Shelbourne Hotel over her scurrilous accusations (without any basis) about their statues?

Or did she just run away and hide until the next band wagon came along for this one to jump on with all the grace and finesse of a wizened geriatric hippopotamus?

If the hotel staff were holding their breath for that apology they would have turned the same colour as a blackcurrant themselves before passing out.

    Glazers Out!

She never apologized to the Shelbourne or anyone else. Anyone who disagrees with her is racist or exercising white privilege etc. She is a disgrace frankly. Accusing people of hate crimes, simply because they make a factual argument against her.

You’d wonder why the local TDs in the constituency concerned aren’t vocal in calling for Ebun to apologise or stand down from this quango.

Maybe they are afraid of this one and her “boy who cried wolf” lark she goes on with?

With this carry on from her, you’d wonder did she get her “Doctorate” in a packet of cornflakes?

A micro aggression like serving ribena is on the same level as a punch in the face.

Once you get that you get an idea of the world these grifters live in

When you read the absolutely batshit/very dangerous 'National Action Plan' (crammed full of CRT, intersectionality, actual racism and discrimination) you will understand why Ebun Joseph was the perfect pick of O'Gorman and O'Brien from the watermelon party for monitoring and without doubt eventually, enforcing it on every aspect of Irish life.

Remember - if you cannot find/see racism in every aspect of your life/interactions/thoughts, you are racist.

This is what they are telling you.

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

People are entitled to speak out about their experiences which Joseph is doing quite elegantly. Personally I find it great to see the sad breakdowns from the 0.4%! It really hurts to see Joseph out there speaking up. If you don't like it you could always vote for governmental change… oh wait, you tried that and had 0.4% of the vote. Complaining online is pretty much the limit of what you can do. lol

I wonder did she mount a strong campaign in her native Nigeria to take down the statues of the salve trade queen Efunroye Tinubu before coming over here. Or was it just easier to kick up a fuss over the statues outside the Shelbourne and call us all racists?

One has to wonder why the decision was made to put such a purveyor of hate towards Irish people in charge of a racism action plan.

"I will say it as it is" But as soon as other people do the same that is racist . Good girl Ebun

Ebun needs to Foxtrot Oscar back to the inclusive, multicultural and welcoming land from where she came, and escape the cruel oppression she experiences in Ireland. Help end this grifters, excuse me, poor woman's plight!

How is the senior civil service so blinded by the damage these fools are doing to the country.

Some Nigerians come to Ireland with Qualifications gleaned from a printer in Lagos. One such "qualified doctor" was outed by a nurse when she watched him trying to insert a needle to obtain a blood sample. You couldn't make this up . N.B. I know she is not medical.

if she really cared about anything she would have stayed in Nigeria and tried to sort out the ills (Christians v Muslims etc.) of a pop. of 100.000.000 million. She instead saw an opportunity to prey on a little country of hand ringing green gobshites.

And as someone else posted above, when you claim that statues are racist depictions of slaves, but are them proven wrong by an academic who studies the area of such antiquities and shows proof that they were actually representation of queens, you dismiss the academic because they are white and imply that the opinions and feelings of a random ignorant black person are more valid than the actual evidence referenced a white-privileged actual expert in the field.

Basically yes, her doctorate is in "equality studies" so not a quality 'real' PhD.

    I hear you're a racist now father!

Can you point out a non racist country anywhere? Where there's none at all?

    Where is this paradise?

This appointment has to be one of the greatest acts of trolling an entire nation (by a sitting Government) in history

The Govt have listened to you,

They have taken your concerns on board,

And they have just told you to go and feck yourself

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,197 ✭✭✭✭whisky_galore

The hotel took the statues down themselves in the wake of BLM under the mistaken impression they depicted slave girls.

DCC and the Georgian Society got wind of it and the hotel were ordered to put them back up. Somewhere in the middle the bould Dr Joseph waded in to spout more uninformed nonsense.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,567 ✭✭✭Hamachi

It certainly is. Honestly, it’s almost peak clown world at this stage.

The one upside is that the bould Dr. Ribena is not in possession of the smarts to actually have any impact in her new position.

Most Irish people have never heard of her right now. Given her recently acquired profile and her inability to moderate her more extreme positions, it will be funny to see her irritate vast swathes of middle Ireland.

At this stage, it wouldn't surprise me if they appointed the leader of a Organised Crime Group to be the special rapporteur for action plan against crime.

Rightly or wrongly the appointment needs to be seen in the context of the ongoing GP leadership contest. I know that some in the anti racism space of the party are behind Hackett so perhaps this was a move by team O'Gorman to win some of those.
