The distribution is worse than the forwards lack of movements. Skehill was giving out to Paul Murphy how kk kept giving ball away in the last 20 mins and coughed up score after score. We are a terribly coached team. We desperately need good coaches involved.

Lyng was asked after the match he said he was fine but he had a bit of tightness during the week.

I was wondering if it was shoulder rather than leg, he wasn't striking the ball well

Re handpassing. Is there any way the technology seen in the euros where they can see if a football has a change in vibrations could be used in intercounty hurling? Like a microchip or whatever inside the centre of the ball? Study it for a year and see how.many calls are wrong.

Clear striking separation and all that - one man's clear separation is different to another man's view. Is there a difference between a 10mm gap and a 12mm gap? Or 4mm and 5mm?

the pulling of arms I thought had reached a new level yesterday. Was near impossible to get the ball onto the hurley or handpass at times. Not sure how some of the handpass changes being trialled are going to work if the refereeing stays as poor as it currently is

Cork have 6 new players in their 15 from the 2021 final so more of an overhaul than you'd realise.

That Cork team would blow us out of the water, they have pace everywhere compared to us, and much more skilful hurlers.

The way we played Saturday they would blow us out of it.

Our 2 biggest issues IMO are the sideline and fitness. My summary of Lyng so far is he is a poor mans Cody. He needs to be ruthless next year and cut players if they dont retire themselves. The players coming through may not be good enough but if you dont throw them in at the deep end you will never know.

Cork on their displays vs Limerick would pretty much blow everyone out of the water but they've no medals won yet.

Is this the end of the era of the big three dominance (KK, Limerick, Tipp)? Where do Kilkenny go from here? KK Minors haven’t won a title since 2014, KK U20 have won one title in 14 years, Ballyhale fell off completely this year. Does player development need to be reprioritised?

Not sure its fair to say that Ballyhale fell off completely, they reached the county final and lost narrowly against a team that played in the All Ireland Final, don't think that under 17 wins are going to be a massive indicator of future success although obviously its better to win them, the minor team has been generally pretty competitive since 2014, beating a fair few munster finalists over that period, the performances of the under 20s has been very poor and I think that development between 17/18 and 21/22 is where we are not doing great, similar to Galway in that respect.

What was dissappointing was despite not playing well, we were only 2 points adrift. Missed 2 goal chances compared to Clare's 1. Eoin Cody point disallowed, TJ missed frees. Mullen should have taken an easy point. Ball into the forwards in the second half was poor. Players gave their all but not enough on the day. I thought Cody should have been moved, Owen Wall and Jordan Molloy brought on. With a bit of luck next year, we win Leinster and get back to a semi final. We would be second favourites against Lk and Ck but have a decemt chance against the rest.

Not sure where we find a corner back, centre half or forwards. Club championship will hopefully throw up some candidates. Dicksboro have to be in with a strong shout this year
