Any Crusty Raves Happening

Apparently free parties are still going on but i have no idea where or when. I haven't been to any in at least 15 years. Not for want of desire though. I'd love a good bash in a field for a day or two! 😁

This is my review of 2017 when it was in Loughcrew in County Meath. You'll get a rough idea of the clientele that frequents the festival.

I haven't been to one in about twenty five years. It was throw a few quid to the organisers if you had it - if not - fine you're broke you can still attend. Are these things ticketed these days? This is what springs to mind when I think of Crusty Raves. I'd actually love to go to one again just to soak it all in even at my age.

I am eagerly anticipating this doc.

That'll be great! My brother was at university in Sheffield at around that time and introduced me to Spiral Tribe. Real quality stuff! Have some of their stuff on cassette in the house. Felt really edgy at the time! Loved it.

Wasn't aware of them but then again i was at the picnic. I did attend the F*ck Homelands at Baltray (Homelands was on in Mosney, went to that and then Baltray after). That was alright, even if some idiot did set a car on fire!

Anyone ever at Jigs & Rigs on Rathlin Island? I was at the 2002 one (had to check my photos to confirm the year, thought it was later tbh). That was good craic. Pretty sure it was free. I still use the sleeping bag that was left outside my tent that weekend!

Was at Noisily festival in Leicestershire over the weekend. Absolutely class, amazing visuals and sound set up over 3 or 4 stages. No police, can do what you want, no kids and a really chill crowd. If forest raves are your thing get there next year.
