Speaking of BMWs.. Was behind a new X5 in the wet the other day and the amount of spray kicked up up by this thing was ridiculous! Drainage on motorways is an issue anyway in many places, but is this down to the design?

In the end I ended up flashing him to move over so I didn't have to deal with his dawdling or monsoon trailing him.

I watched the Petrol & Politics and William Wallace ones last night. Hilarious 👌. I don't understand how it's still a <100K subscriber channel, that being said it isn't bad growth for a ~5 ish year old channel.

YT probably took it down for community guideline violation. They were really pushing the drug "safety" (i.e: proliferation) channels at one point but they've done a total 180 on that and are pretty hard on anything remotely associated let alone an overt parody like what you're describing. The platform has gotten fairly wonky in the last couple of years.

That does not surprise me one bit. Scanned a few of his videos now and the comments on them are toxic. ‘F you Greta’ ‘F you adblue’ etc. Real knuckle dragger stuff.

A creator of a woodworking channel I follow moderates the comments on his videos so it is a pleasant place for his viewers. He’s has nearly 2 million subs. If Evenflow is leaving them there and from what I’ve seen if his content, that’s all I need to know.
Glad I tried it so see what it was about but it’s a bit puerile for me. Which would be ok if it was teens making it but it’s a man north of 50.

At nearly 2M I'd say he has someone doing it for him, most content creators just let YT deal with the troublemakers. I do have one or two subs where the comment sections are pretty decent but that's because they're smallish channels with a specific niche audience that are all on the same page. In any case you can't hold a public figure accountable for how other people choose to interpret their words and/or actions.

As to the content itself, it's just entertainment. I'll admit that to me fast cars and engines that sound like a hoard of roid raging hornets are like a shiny set of keys to a toddler but given the fact that he has no regard for anyone in that are other than himself I can't support the channel in any way. If it were more the case that he was on private roads or at least did it right and had the roads closed for filming purposes I wouldn't have an issue.

Well I don't know about driving under the influence as that might be done with prop stuff to be honest, then again I only watched 3 videos.

Edit: That Mk2 Escort is a savage yoke though. I want one of them at some point in my life. Or maybe a Mk 1 Capri. But with modern drive train. Given how things are going with the rollout of E10 trying to keep vintage motors running is just going to be too much of a hassle for my liking.

The house where he makes a lot of the videos is just down the road from a my buddies place in Doneraile.

I'd be keeping that to myself and not questioning it to be honest 😂.

Anyone else just writing off the Bangernomics thread? Every car posted seems to attract a flurry off OT chat. Even after a mod warning yesterday, it persisted. I notice a few regular posters haven’t put anything up in a long time either.
