I think there is a little bit of disrespect being shown to kerry.

Everyone is on about their form but they have been solid so far in 2024.

A few kicks of the ball last year and they would be going for 3 in a row, it's very hard to see any of the three remaining teams beat them. Paddy tally has them well drilled.

On what basis are armagh dangerous?

They are extremely conservative and dull alot of the time. Occasionally they throw the shackles off but it's usually handbrake football in croker. They beat a very flaky roscommon team.

Armagh are better than championship Derry and way more attacking options so I think they can ask some questions of Kerry but they haven't been impressive, especially in Croke Park. Galway let them back in to the round Robin game with 2 terrible kickouts and still should have won it. They did similar in the drawn game two years ago with bad keeping errors and a wayward crossfield ball from Shane Walsh.

But Armagh weren't impressive in either game. They also looked poor against a 14 man Roscommon who they struggled to shake off. They seem to struggle with the pace of the ball round Croke Park and it exposes all their biggest flaws. Kerry haven't set the world alight so far but I'd expect a significant step up from them on Saturday. Not a hammering, but a comfortable win.

In 9 months time there could be a lot of baby Gareth's/Olly's/Harry's/Bakayo's etc. Maybe even Declan's!? 😂

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Armagh will cause Kerry problems. It'll be a step up from the Derry challenge in the quarter-finals.

Galway and Donegal is tough to call. Strong case for both. How Galway deal with McGuinness' challenge will go a long way in determining the outcome of this one.

Kerry will beat Armagh with a good bit to spare and might even turn on the style.

Galway might just sneak past Donegal in what could turn out to be a very tactical game and maybe a bruising one (there's going to be some very big men on the field) with probably a heavy price in injuries and or suspensions for the winner.

Kerry will stroll to the All Ireland.

if anyone by any chance at all has a juvenille ticket for the upper Cusack for Sunday, let me know.

HIGHLY unlikely - but sure if you don’t ask, you never know 🤪🤪

Armagh are very strong defensively and dangerous on the break so I think it'll be a cagey affair.

It's a nice dry day at least.

On paper Galway have the strongest team and squad. They have experienced losing a final 2 years ago. They will go all the way this year

Jeez no talk about the semi finals at all
They really need to move them back a few weeks

Had to go looking for the Galway team
If that team starts I’m scared :D
On the other hand they may be starting with 3/4 injured players
McGuinness will run the legs off them

The way football is played would turn you off watching it - commenting on it too it seems.

Very poor Tailteann Cup Final. Loads of basic errors.

Great to see footballers kicking the ball and able to kick scores for distance

    Lovely free from D Clifford

Kerry already looking a step ahead here. Going be long day for Armagh. Kerry playing lovely stuff

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,749 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

As I predicted so far, Kerry will be around 6-8 points by the 40 minute mark. Kerry picking off scores, Armagh in the Gladiator "hold, hold" mode. The main difference to that is Armagh will only attack when it is way too late.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Already looks ominous for Armagh...damn!! 🤣

Kerry the better team so far. Armagh are simply boring.

Surely orange would have been the better colour for Armagh to wear here? From the wide camera not that easy to make out who is who.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,360 ✭✭✭Gael85

Armagh very poor here. Could be 8-10 victory for kerry.

  • Registered Users Posts: 34,140 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Kerry hunting like their lives depend on it. Impressive

  • Registered Users Posts: 243 ✭✭LetticebCivil

One pass too many for Armagh. Easy point on and Grugan hand passes it off instead.

  • Registered Users Posts: 34,140 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

Armagh had 3 attempts to shoot and they make meal of it

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,360 ✭✭✭Gael85

Gavin White cleaning out O'Neill. Must be decent odds for MOTM.

When you see a game like this you wonder about how many rule changes they are going to make
And will it make a shite of it again
Remove the forward mark might even be enough
And limiting players in each half

I don no about the 2/4 points Rules

  • Registered Users Posts: 243 ✭✭LetticebCivil

The main problem for me is teams all over the country attempt to play like Armagh or Donegal from Jimmys first term but are nowhere near as good as it. They end up having no attacking threat and they are not even solid in defence.

Exactly this. They don't know when to counter, or are terrified to counter - instead going for the easy backways or sideways option. It is annoying to watch on telly, but even more frustrating to watch live when you can see the spaces and opportunities they have to counter etc.

Louth although technically a "weaker" side make a good effort at the counter attacking tactic, no excuse why other sides are so poor at it, and are paralysed with fear.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.
