There was a case on here years ago, where the OP was involved in head-on collision. Plenty of people told them it would be ruled 50:50. They got the data logs from Hyundai to prove they were stopped. Very routine these days, not CSI fantasy, not in the slightest.

@alanmc This is a major modification to your car. If you hit anything or anyone with a high mounted steel bumper, the outcome for them will be far more severe than otherwise.

Your insurance are very unlikely to insure you if you declare it. They'd much rather pay €5k for your damaged bumper than €500k to someone you injured unnecessarily. There's a reason the Cybertruck is can't pass EU safety standards.

If you don't declare it, and you're involved in a collision, they will almost certainly cancel your cover, or pursue you personally for all costs.
