Is there a charge point in Dublin airports T1 car park? I need to collect someone and could be doing with a 20 minute charge while I wait.. Are they generally available late at night or would they be busy enough all the time.

Theres a couple of chargers right next to the door on the roof of the multistory car park. Theres also chargers in the Circle K garage

Applegreen Santry seems the be the favourite spot nearby for charging, two chargers so less chance of failure

Depending on where you're coming from it might be easier to charge near to the airport than in the parking.

If you're within 20 mins of the airport you could camp at the charger and just get the person to ring you when their flight lands. That way you could just get them from the drop off area and dodge the parking fee

Thanks everyone! I'm new to the EV game. Plugshare is the best app for finding these things is it?

Generally yes, ABRP can also help with route planning

Thanks. Yes I have that one and it seems great. It's a pity there isn't one place that has the availability information for all of them. But I suppose once you have all the apps it's not too hard to click into each to see which chargers are working and available and which ones aren't. Plugshare is a great one to have.

In the T1 car park there are about 6-8 chargers on the first floor, just to the right of the ramp that takes you up. There are more (about 10-12) in the T2 car park, so you have a better chance of finding an unoccupied one there. There are also two rapid chargers in the Red car park, although that is less useful for pickups / drop offs as you need to get a bus.

Not raining on a parade here but I'm fairly sure the chargers in the car park are AC.

A 20 minute charge will get you next to nothing on an AC charger.
