    Congratulations Armagh

    Exciting finish

Didn't expect Armagh to win it at the start of the year. Fair **** to them, Galway will feel they left that behind them

Made a right mess of that Galway did.

Galway need to find some free kick takers

  • Registered Users Posts: 175 ✭✭ledwithhedwith

Have Galway suffered from being too close to Mayo? They have turned into them!

Galway pricked around with the ball for far too long in large stretches of the game even though they were getting something out of the times they went with direct running and quick football.

Great for a Northern county to win it. Listening on Radio 1 it sounded like Galway squandered too many chances between the 50-70th minute.

Armagh deserved to win by more than one point. Congratulations to them.

    Good enough for them.

    Galway beat themselves today

Shane walsh. Wow. What a bottle job. The mother of all bottlers. Amazing.

Playing sideways and backwards and not taking on loads and loads of lockable scores deserves nothing. Not a great spectacle but very tense at the wnd

Delighted we were in the final but we're so **** negative and deserved to lose imo

Couldn't have anticipated Finnerty not lasting as long as the seagull in fairness

What a bottle job by Galway. Worse than mayo in 21.

    Shane Walsh = bottler

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭cmac2009

Credit to Armagh. Thought Galway's attack would be a lot better. In trouble when Comer and Walsh don't turn up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,307 ✭✭✭evolvingtipperary101

Galway choked. A lot of players just didn't want to be responsible for kicking a wide.

Delighted Armagh won because at least they tried to play some football throughout the game and tried to win the game.

Galways spent far too much time passing the ball around in a circle both in the first half and then when the game was for the taking in the last 5 minutes, if they had speeded things up they could have worked another 2 or 3 chances to draw or potentially win the game at the end.

It's sad that Padraic Joyce one of the most gifted and creative footballers to ever play the game sends his team to play such turgid nonsense.

Fair play Armagh. That’s gonna hurt in Galway.

I think all irelands mean less these days. The best footballers dont win them. Its all about choking the game and killing pace. Horrendous.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,739 ✭✭✭✭klose

Some of the wides kicked by Galway were embarrassing if we are being honest, completely left that one behind.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,278 ✭✭✭MayoForSam

Congrats Armagh, Comer and Walsh did not play well for Galway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 175 ✭✭ledwithhedwith

you’ll have a heap on now giving out to you who seem to be petrified of the word. Meant to be the best player on the pitch and bar Comer he put in the worst performance. Well done to Armagh! Well worth that, a lot slicker in attack.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,225 ✭✭✭Jack Daw

They should play Orange Crush by REM as Armagh's celebratory song at the end of the match.

Hard to understand how Galway didn’t get it done today. They kicked away the initiative so many times.

Comer totally anonymous. Walsh had a stinker. Far too much hype about them two lads, they haven’t produced at all. Feel sorry for Dylan McHugh who was excellent all year.

    Congrats to Armagh

13 points won’t win too many finals .

Galway just didn’t have the forwards .

I look forward to the analysis of Damien Comers second final disappearance

And of course that Shane Walsh stepped “outside the group” to run a Pedigree Chum competition on his Instagram in the build up to the final.
and that’s before we get to his display of sharp shooting off either foot …..

Congrats to our orange brethern, Galway left it behind, lost composure big time.

Genuinely lol'd at this. He looked like he got injured kicking the ball and not from when he got fouled

Congrats to Armagh and hard luck Galway. A final far from classic more errors than quality on show but exciting finish.
