Ya today feels like Summer even though its cloudy its 20c.

But this rain wasn't forecast. Wrong again AI Eireann

Feels like summer around Dub/Kildare today. Better sunshine, but still some cloud. It was feeling very warm around lunch despite it only being 20C, but right on cue, the breeze has picked up, so the cardigan is back on.

24C Thurles, feeling very warm in milky sunshine

Cloud bank after just rolling in after hot sunshine. I just got the hay raked up and now have to bring it into the shed as it's loose and wouldn't be able to take rain.

Out on Inishmore and it's pissing. Met Eireann says no chance. Great fun.

(N Tipp) I thought today might be the warmest day of the year. Passed 20°C just after 10 AM

Reached 24.9°C around 4:30 PM but it's gone mostly cloudy now and back to 23.3C

20th May remains highest so far 25.3°C

An average summers day in north ros as a shower rolls in. Very little sun here the last few days and feeling humid. An east only decent spell it looks like

Very disappointing evening in West Dublin. Some dark clouds, breezy. It's dry, so grand for getting stuff done outside, but not pleasant just sitting out in the garden.

  • Registered Users Posts: 373 ✭✭Robwindstorm

Thank God i got the bit of hay in, I can see rainclouds to my west.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,008 ✭✭✭appledrop

At the Zoo all day the heat was unreal in Phoneix Park and not a cloud in sky all day.

Clouded over now but still so warm and toasty in back garden after a lovely barbecue now that I can finally eat again, cheers.

Just getting the edge of that showery rain, the heavier burst just further to the northwest of me. I'd feel sorry for any farmer that has hay down thinking they still had it dry until tomorrow night. I'm sure there'll be plenty of cursing at the telly tonight at 9.30.

Gorgeous day in north Clare near the coast just north of Doolin and warm too. Was surprised when leaving that the clouds had built up overland and even some showers came by evening.

Good summers day here today. Plenty warm about 22/23 and decent amount of sun and a lovely mild evening if not a bit cloudy for a walk. We really don’t ask for much! Delighted with the last few days but in no way makes up for what’s gone before.

Provisional highest temp for the month of July 2024 was recorded today 31/07 at the Met Eireann synoptic weather station in Moore Park Co. Cork & reached 24.1 C at around 2pm

Highest temp of this year so far, reached 26.6 C in Phoenix Park, Dublin on 24th of June

Nice day again today in Kerry, more cloud about but sunny spells and feeling warm and a bit humid, got up to 21.8C at my site and currently a mild 16.8c.

Would that be one of the lowest Max temperature for July in recent years?

Lovely day in Galway. Felt warm and muggy.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,178 ✭✭✭✭Oscar Bravo

I will hand that one over to Sryan. Good question!

Depressing really! We can only hope that Aug / Sept do better

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,014 ✭✭✭wazzzledazzle

Cloudy dull start to the day but the clouds will burn off/clear before lunch by my reckoning. Not much in the long term forecast to be hopeful about if it's prolonged warmth you want. 14c, N Kildare

Eyes to the second half of August for our last real chance of anything resembling summer, only time will tell.

Clouds have vanished and is now a beautiful morning, has warmth up significantly, 19c

Very grey and overcast in Dublin, which I though according to Met Eireannn, was tomorrow's forecast.

Persistent drizzle yestersay evening and rain and wind all morning in West Mayo. The next 10 days look like intermittent rain and strong winds in the West. Be warned anyone thinking of coning West on holidays - it's actually going to get worse!
