    I'm trying to not be curmudgeonly (or to at least stay silent and Let People Enjoy Things), but in recent years I've "gone off" large sporting events (and other public events too, such as festivals, concerts, etc.).

    In my opinion they've become, or I've noticed more, how commercialised they are; how much vested interest has twisted and soiled them, and how many middlemen want to get their pound of flesh as well.

    Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled programmes …

    In hospital since Wednesday evening, being looked after very well.

    My mental health was rapidly spiralling downwards last week and my psychiatrist got me in here very quickly. Very fortunate - OH is visiting me every day. 🥰💕

    Slept almost constantly for the first couple of days here but since yesterday I've been much more active.

    My latest art piece I did earlier today...based on a photo of the beautiful historic 18th century house on the hospital grounds.

    Watching a programme about Lucy Letby .
    What what I’ve seen so far , irrespective of her guilt , once she was charged nobody with a medical background was willing to defend her because of damage to their career . Her defence team also fcuked up big time by not introducing expert testimony to her trial that would have refuted the prosecution . She was convicted on evidence of a statistician not medical evidence .

    The new phenomenon of trial by social media, creates a lot of monsters. People who would never have had any knowledge about criminal trials or investigations, suddenly become 'experts'

    Anyone can spin a story in many different directions.

    Oh I know . But what medical professionals and in that field were saying , a decent legal team would have destroyed the police s case . Her legal team didn’t do their job , and dr’s said that if you stuck your head up you’re painting a target on yourself . And these aren’t tok Tokers they’re experts in their field of medicine
