I was in Spain on the bike in 2021, didn't have an IRL sticker (not sure if I needed one), and had no problems.

This year I'll be in Spain and France and I'm wondering if anyone knows are there any rules in France and Spain on separate nationality plates.

    Any help is appreciated…

If your number plate has the standard IRL EU graphic on it you won't, if it doesn't you will.

Do bikers in France require the hi vis jacket and breathalyser test that car drivers need to carry?

Thanks, they were selling like hot cakes on the ferries last summer!

There’s a loophole I believe that means the breathalyser law can’t be enforced. Never carry one and I spend several months in France every year. I was stopped and breathalysed at a checkpoint recently and nobody looked for one. And only because I was driving a French registered rental car IMO. Tend to get waved through with foreign plates. Never stopped otherwise on 100,000km plus on French roads on bike, car or motorhome. Visible policing is a lot less than at home. For a car I know you need spare bulbs and hi-vis. If you need glasses to drive you should carry a spare pair in the vehicle. I’d say the ferries are cashing in on an unfounded anxiety.
