If he's head of anything, it's Gaza and Gaza alone.

The language of hate again from that clown. How could there ever be peace with people like him constantly mouthing and baiting people? These lads are every bit as bad as Hamas.

Israel now acting offended and playing the victim card because their diplomat to Japan was not invited to the Nagasaki bombing memorial. UK and USA all out too in solidarity with Israel.

For the us ambassador to skip it and send junior staff is poor

The cognitive dissonance involved there is something to behold

That's your go to? Who should the israeli government negotiate with? You going to step up? You have the ability to negotiate on behalf of hamas leadership? Can you enforce Can you agree on behalf of them? Can you enforce any agreement?

Obviously Hamas leadership have to be involved in the negotiations.

Or is this just your way of saying no peace.

not just US, Uk - EU, Canada, australia too

meanwhile the love in between Yahya and israel didnt last long - there wont be any one left in hamas to negotiate at this rate...

Israel vows to kill Yahya Sinwar as he’s named Hamas leader as US warns against escalation

Another great write up by Johnathan Cooke.

How on earth Israel is allowed to compete in the Olympics is beyond me. It's sad we're lining up in support of the religious supremacist leadership of Israel

How could any right thinking person back this?

''A clear message was sent to Israeli soldiers over many decades that, just as the genocidal murder of Palestinians is considered warranted and “lawful”, the torture and rape of Palestinians held in captivity is considered warranted and “lawful” too.''

AIPAC claim another victim in their fight to purge American democracy of any voices critical of their actions against Palestinians.

She has been a vocal critic of Israel's war in Gaza, with pro-Israel groups spending more than $10m (£7.9m) on efforts to unseat her in the primary.

Projections from both the Associated Press news agency and NBC News suggest Mr Bell is on track to win the vote with 51% of ballots cast, compared to Ms Bush's 46%.

The district is a strongly Democratic area and Mr Bell will be expected to hold it at the coming election.

Almost all the money spent in campaigning against Ms Bush reportedly came from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac). Aipac is a pro-Israel lobbying group and has vowed to spend over $100m to unseat progressive lawmakers who have spoken out against the war in Gaza, Politico reported.

Imagine a pro-Russian group was doing this to people speaking out criticising Russia about the war in Ukraine? Amazing that this kind of thing is seen as ok.

Im not keeping a moral score Im just saying what I expect Israel to do and that would be destroy Hamas and maybe Hezbollah, no point letting them get stronger to mount stronger attacks down the road.

This would be the Hamas, that Netanyahus government helped to fund so as to prevent the far less militant Palestinian organisations gaining any traction?

Given they are struggling getting rid of Hamas I'd say they have zero chance of getting rid of Hezbollah.

It's an impossible task. There is no military solution to this long term. I think that suits the Israeli right perfectly fine though.

Actual footage leaked today of Israeli soldiers gang raping Palestinians. How anyone can try to defend what is going on is incredible

Hamas today is like the Black Hand in Serbia 110 years ago. They are terrorists who instigated a regional war (in the Middle East for Hamas, in Europe for the Black Hand) and then faded to irrelevance as the major regional and global powers took over and escalated the war far beyond the original scope. In the end, very few people at Versailles cared that the Black Hand terrorists achieved all their objectives for a greater Serbia and won. They were too busy with the dismemberment of Austria-Hungary, the overthrow of the Russian and German Emperors and replacement with a republic in Germany and a Bolshevik dictatorship in Russia, the collapse and partition of the Ottoman Empire, etc.

If Israel and Iran and the United States and its allies escalate this war, by the end of the war, very few people are going to care about Hamas getting the 1967 borders back if the anti-Israel side wins. They'll all be too busy dealing with the United States gets kicked out of the Middle East, the governments of its allied nations in the region (Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc) either turning their backs on the United States or getting couped and replaced with new governments hostile to the United States, Europe going through civil wars between its majority population and its Muslim minorities due to blowback from this Middle Eastern war, and so on.

Wouldn't surprise me if Israel leaked the video intentionally in order to get the war they want.

How can the US support this?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,120 ✭✭✭PeggyShippen

Great to see one of the far left 'squad' being ousted. That's American politics...ruthless. it's a good day all the same

    Support 🇮🇱 Israel

You're argument would have some merit if the USA wasn't a military hyper power stringer than the next 8 best militaries combined .. So far ahead of China still thank God. America goes nowhere if it doesn't want to. The only worry I'd have is a far left takeover at the top in Washington

    Support 🇮🇱 Israel

You must be completely clueless of you think Cori Bush is far left. In fact, if you think anyone in us politics, be they democratic or republic is far left you'd be way off. Theyre at most centre left and even that's a stretch.

And AIPAC spent 8.5 million dollars to campaign against her. That's frankly disgusting. Spending that sort of money because someone will criticize past and ongoing war crimes. A person who is considered left wing because they call out some of the o equality in society and have been on the side of trying to address it

It' s a terrible day. Someone ousted in an orchestrated campaign against them for not staying silent about Israeli war crimes. Of course you'd see it as a good day though.

Which proves this war is not really about Israel's long term security, it's about Bibi staying in power and maintaining the status quo post war. Bibi and Hamas have one thing in common : they both don't want to see a moderate opposition ruling Gaza. If in the event that scenario looks likely Bibi will fund some islamists to undermine them. In fairness Bibi wasn't the first do it- Yitzshak Shamir did it back in 80s to weaken the PlO. So it could be said some Israeli governments are fond of supporting terrorism when it suits...

the US are hardly going to get kicked out of the middle east in an election year

  • Registered Users Posts: 601 ✭✭✭batman75

Scary what has gone on in the Israeli prison of Sde Teiman. Absolute sadism and a true reflection of the hatred towards Palestinians from sections of Israeli society. Israel has most likely signed it's death warrant as a country by it's actions. It cannot defeat Hamas and Hezbollah. It has engaged in assassinations in other countries to instigate a wider middle east war. Netanyahu is leading his country towards oblivion.

As if you or I have anything to contribute to a solution!!!! But to put "negotiate" and "peace" together with the name of Yahya Sinwar is a very dark and cynical joke .There are, apparently, many of his favoured tunnels still left intact in Gaza but doubt any of them lead to Damascus.

Truly amazing. Makes a laugh of posters complaining about what goes on in Iran while all the time backing this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,889 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

It's almost as if there is no principle involved; abhorrence to criminal acts rather depends on who the victims are. Yet many of this sort will be quick to cry anti semitism while displaying a clearly racist attitude towards others.

    " Stop Bullshitting me"

This is what Joe is reported to have said to Bibi in an angry exchange. Even Israeli defense chiefs believe Bibi is not interested in a ceasefire. Yet we were suppose to believe Bibi had agreed to one according to Blinken.

tens of thousands of innocent Gazans have been killed. The entire gaza strip is leveled. people are starving because aid is blocked.

Besides that the westbank is living under apartheid, settlements are increasing. Neither side are looking good.

The Israelis have no principles for sure. They talk out of both sides of their mouths. The good thing is that the entire world now sees them for what they are. They have lost any little bit of respect they had.

Many of them have never called out Israel on any of their crimes. It's as if they back all their actions. Two more schools hit today and another 50 Gazans killed. They claim that Hamas are hiding in schools but schools would be the last place they'd hide if they had a brain in their heads. It's the general population the Israelis are targeting/
