No problem, for the call from the energy provider I don't think I'd pay any attention to accent. I get loads of legit calls to and from companies where I hear different accents, I don't think anything of it. I'd be thinking of the tell tale signs of scam call, who phoned who, what details are they asking for etc.

For the guys on the street late at night I'd go by demeanor. If they're laughing and joking amongst themselves I wouldn't think there's much of a threat, if I'm getting sideways looks and sussed out I would.

We can't do it because we don't have pre clearance as the US does (I think it's coming with the migration pact)

Pre-clearance makes it extremely unlikely anyone will come via airlines who might potentially need to be deported, so the airlines will perform these small numbers and the departure countries will accept.

That's not to say people won't come another route of course so really it's much ado about nothing.

My point was about racism being involved in the immigration protests. It was to do with skin colour. Some poster said it was never anything to do with racism which is utterly deluded.

In an ordinary functioning country, any person should be able to get a job, save up for a deposit, take out a mortgage, then buy a house.

Instead we're jamming as many people into the country as possible while Simon Harris loudly proclaims that there's no housing/accommodation crisis.

How do we know usa deports people within hours if you have no passport? I would imagine the person would need to be detained for a long time while they sort papers etc. I'm not sure even the mighty USA can dump anonymous people on planes and send them to countries that don't want anonymous people arriving.

RTE or other Irish media have in the past said things like "a Cork Man" and it turns out to be a foreign guy from some backward country. It creates distrust

Yep, no one has figured out a way of stopping migration to Europe so its not getting better any time soon. Maybe the EU migration pact will help. Maybe Europe should be looking at settling people back in their own countries, giving them financial incentives, investing in countries that have the most emigrants to Europe etc., it would work out better in the long run I'd say, spread the wealth.

Even if we offer no shelter or food or anything many will still come as being homeless in France or ireland probably still has far more opportunities than being in Syria or Nigeria.

Yup Ireland has no deterrent, that's one of the biggest issues.

Little things like:

Taking away medical cards (imagine these illegals get this, it's so abhorrent to me)

Stop giving them tents!!!!

Reduce funding of immigration NGOs

Quick turn around of processing migrates. No migrates should be waiting months and years for a decision.

Reduce the amount of appeals including courts.

Asking nicely to leave has to stop and instead they should be immigration officers escorting the illegals out.

Above is just short term and the Government tomorrow should be preparing migrate centers outside Ireland like what Italy has done, this would stop the pull factor all together and stop the vested interest groups making money of this absolute blight in our country
