Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

VW GOLF LOUNGE vs Comfort line vs base vs highline

I recently did a test drive of golf lounge edition 2015 Japan imported car. It was advertised and told, it is a 1.4 engine but later it was found it is a 1.2 engine and some wrong info( transmission and doors) showing in insurance database.

I am worried whether dealer tried to cheat me or it was something a mistake ? Dealer explained the lounge edition is above comfort line and below high line in terms of specs. But the car report indicated as base line instead.

What is the difference between all of these edition for Japanese imported VW Golf lounge edition?

Its higher than Comfortline but not as high as Highline. Insurance info is always incorrect for Japanese imports

Here's the VW Japanese catalog for your 2015 Golf Lounge. It is a 1.2L.
And it would sit below the Highline in terms of spec, as they Highline is 1.4L.

You can also determine the engine size from the model code: DBA‐AUCJZ(Trendline, Comfortline, Lounge) and DBA-AUCPT(Highline).

Japanese Lounge spec doesn’t come with a sunroof.

Volkswagen Group Japan has introduced four models from the "Lounge" series of special limited edition cars planned by the German headquarters - the Polo, Golf, Golf Variant, and Tiguan - and began selling them on April 23rd 2015.

The Lounge Series is based on each of the TSI Comfortline models (the Tiguan is the TSI BlueMotion), and includes a number of new exclusive items and comfortable features that are filled with the common theme of all limited edition vehicles: a calm, high-quality space like a private lounge and a sophisticated, urban look.

All limited edition models are equipped with specially designed aluminum wheels, fabric seats, door sill plates, etc. In addition, they are equipped with bi-xenon headlights (LED for Polo) with auto height control function and genuine infotainment system (Golf, Golf Variant).

Prices are 2,399,000 yen for the Polo (limited to 1,000 units), 3,090,000 yen for the Golf (1,500 units), 3,190,000 yen for the Golf Variant (800 units), and 3,868,800 yen for the Tiguan.
