€75 win last week, I have to wait now until the letter arrives rather than looking it up online, I also have to ring them (twice) now (going through the whole press button 1 palaver before getting through) to find out what the winning prize bond was, their phone wasn't working for the first call.

You can go into your County and put the winning bonds in number order. Up to date as soon as the draw comes on the screen. Or use the Check my Numbers boxes. That won't be up to date for the latest draw until a bit later in the day on Fridays.

With that luck you might as well stuff it under the mattress.

You seem to be doing very well so far this year, how many wins have you so far may I ask?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,228 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

I posted a detailed half year summary on Page 317 post #9488. Giving comparisons with 2022 and 2023. As you can see from the extract below, March and June combined provided 8 out of 12 wins.

Since then 2 further wins in July, and 3 in August so far. It's all very hit and miss for any of us with our tiny number of bonds.

    "Half year report, 12 x €75 total €900. Jan zero. Feb 2. March 5. April 1. May 1. June 3."

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,004 ✭✭✭John arse

So 17 wins so far , that's good going. What's the interest rate on that?, Well done btw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,004 ✭✭✭John arse

Will follow your 100k journey with interest,on average you should be winning once a month(depends on whether you take the 1% or 0.75% for the smaller prizes I suppose). Time will tell as they say, Best of luck going forward 👍👍👍

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,228 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

Around 0.86%. Which is fairly well in line with the 0.78% predicted by my monthly count of €75 winners from tens of millions of new bonds. DIRT free of course. At the end of September we will have had a full year since the start of the 1%. I will do a calculation then, and also for the "Greek" bonds which have featured in discussions here.

    What is your interest rate?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,004 ✭✭✭John arse

Don't know because I keep changing my amount invested, a meagre 2 wins so far this year on 70k though.

I got my new bonds today 14 August BGZ612450 to BGZ612473. BGZ already featured for the first time in the winners on 09 August. 7 x €75, numbers ranging from BGZ036175 to BGZ331422. I expect to see the first of the BHA in the draw on 16 August.

BGA first featured in the winners of 01 March, so 26 million sales in 5 months, around €160 million. BGA has 280 winners so far, but none over €75.

Provided you are registered with State Savings Online you should receive an email between 12:30pm and 13:00 on the day of the draw. The email will tell you that you have a “new notification” and you then log on to State Savings Online to read the details.
