    A sensible caller!! You go!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,188 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

Oh, he's in the wrong because you drew your own L plate? Give me strength!!!

    • I couldn't find the bonnet.
    • I only crashed once. Or twice.
    • I only had four pints, two chasers and a half Chardonnay.
    • Stupid roadsigns.
    • The bus shelter came out of nowhere.
    • I don't know left or right.
    • I'm on my blob.
    • The mean man shouted at me.
    • Actually it was three times.
    • What does this orange flashing light do?
    • Why would I need to know how to reverse a car?
    • I need it to go to Maccy D's; son is crying.
    • The man was sick; I should be default given a pass.
    • The apps should be free.
    • I need a doobie and some CBT to pass, I have the Homeopath script here.
    • Four times.

    .

    Joe: what's your point?

Some cheek asking cawlur to make their point given the general rambling callers this show normally entertains.

Duffy spits out his narkdom at this caller for some reason after softsoaping the previous three dopes.

Why bring road deaths into this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,533 ✭✭✭LambshankRedemption

    Joe: Make your point!

So, we can have someone who gives us the background to their story for 10 minutes and Joe just says "Yeah, go on, yeah".

A sensible caller comes on with a sensible gripe, and Joe hurries him along.

Joe you’re a prick and the people you’re trying to impress with your shíte see through it and arent as gullible as you think. You’ll find that out in your Aras run.

    Obnoxiousness

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,732 ✭✭✭✭Dan Jaman

Thirty years ago the average killed was around 400pa. Safer cars, better road layouts and education nearly halved that.
I saw a comment the other day that attributes the recent rise in deaths to messing around with the roads again, narrowing lanes, making junctions less driver friendly, etc.

Its clear what he is saying, passing the test should be a formality if you have taken the time and effort to learn....pretty simple.

Rather than doing the test 10 times in the hope you will sneak a pass in one.

Joe has softened now that he knows your man has a few criticisms of the RSA.

Could be an opportunity for you to learn something so?

Duffy lets his stubby claw bang the desk, exasperation FOR SOME REASON rising with this caller

How most of todays cawlurs want driving testers to be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 cher nobyl

I have a hunch that drug driving has a lot more to do with it as well as what you mentioned, in my eyes its the silent offence as testing for it only came on stream somewhat this year, needs to be employed more, but that would be down to how its done, roadside drug tests cant be as straight forward as 'blow into this bag until I tell you stop', I've never seen it before so I dont know

I am convinced the people who design our rail network never had a train set when they were a child. A Hornby model train will no go if the tracks don't link up.

120 kmph is not fast on a motor way. the problem is the likes of this old biddy that thinks the right hand lane is the 'fast lane' and blocks up the whole thing
