After the first recount, he went two ahead so Aontu asked for another check.

Newbridge draft town plan is posted on the bus stop on the Bord na Móna side of the street and of course online.

Parking to be removed from Bord na Móna side of street down to bridge. All parking both sides to be removed from post office all the way to finlays garage. Notions of using existing parking that included Dunnes private car park.

Notions of asking/begging for a bus route in town.

Opening up a route (already there but not open yet) from Brennan's garage through housing estate to meet Standhouse road. Section marked towards blackberry lane but hard to tell if they plan going there as the rail líne comes across that bit of land.

Not a whole lot to the plan but it's taken long enough to get to this point. If anyone remembers, the last one had closure of GAA car park and making it a through way. That's long gone.

Other than that, the GAA grounds entrance looks impressive. 2 sets of turn stiles. That was once supposed to move out to Tougers and that land to be sold to developers. Plan for that was circa 2006. As I said above, notions.

That was might first thought too. The main street is looking derelict enough as it is. This definitely won't help matters.

Yes, that's a particularly severe move. I always go into town early Saturday morning for breakfast. Usually park on Main Street and am out by 9.30am so no charge for parking. Having to find a spot on Eyre Street or Henry Street or fork out for Town Centre makes it much less appealing.

It is - the problem with that is turning right at the exit. But I suppose it's an option albeit further away from where I usually park. Not an issue if it's fine, but a pain in the rain.

It got it's planning permission originally on the basis that the entrance was not on the residents side. Can't blame them really. I'm guessing the rebuild does not require new PP so no changes to traffic flow will occur. Even without McD, the junction is poor most weekends.

From the PO down the town is only getting worse. I see hickeys has closed. The old arch bar had planning approved for a café or restaurant but that hasnt opened yet, the old chartbusters had approved planning for a business(cant remember what) but that looks like it has fallen apart. The old keg was approved for a two story restaurant/café but is now for sale. As a life long resident of the town its sad to see that end going the way it is.
