New Granny charger , help me out

What make and model and battery size cars do you both have?

Ideally you install two proper chargers as using a granny charger every day is not recommended.

The safest ones are car manufacturer branded ones as they have extra safety features.

Check the cable length is suitable as extension leads should not be used if at all possible.

This will charge at a rate of 2kW per hour which gives about 100km range every 10 hours so should be fine for you.

It is not suitable for some models of nissan leaf, outlander etc.

I know nothing about this or the company, but just wondering did a dual charger exist and came across this:

Has one thethered type 2 cable and then a untethered socket. Will charge one car at 7.4kW or both at 3.7kW each.

Not sure if it's good or the software is any good. But maybe looking into something like that might be a better long term solution, especially if you'd have to do work to get a socket installed for the granny charger

2 x type 2 chargers would be pushing the limits of domestic supply I think unless you're in a fairly modern house designed for a heat pump (but then you'd potentially have 2 chargers and a heat pump all drawing at the same time)

With the distances you mention charging each car on alternate days should be sufficient I'd have thought.
