Did you read the article? Drew Harris suggests the threat may be from violent political extremists, our own home grown goons with the Gardai saying an attack is possible but not likely.

I don't think your solution is very practical.

The UK including Northern Ireland is not in the EU.

Also the HSE is heavily dependent on nurses and doctors from many non EU countries.

Stupid, dumb, reactive migration policy by the government and they wonder why **** happens. They are going to try and isolate anyone with a counter opinion further, and that's going to make people more angry. They need to listen to the people.

They are not turning a blind eye. They are afraid to open their mouths because the state will brand them racist. It is openly said in conversation but nobody will protest because the papers will and have published your name, address and employer.

The article did not specify only home grown. The Taoiseach said we are not immune from threats from extremism or terrorism, domestic or international.

We were a rich country with a well off population just before the IMF came after the last crash.

If well informed means subjected to extensive government propaganda then we are indeed well informed.

Point proven really, just because people are concerned about the immigration policy and having uncontrolled numbers coming in, doesn't make them racist, yet straight away people throw out the slur.

But back on topic, everything that is happening is being manipulated by the government and garda commissioner. The government want to clamp down on X, free speech and drive through the hate speech bill, the commissioner wants to rule by force and threat of the baton. We are loosing the country we once knew and nobody in power is shouting stop.

They're obsessed with the far right bogeyman yet won't admit the problems we are importing into the country. So blinded by the pc world we live in, they'll brush over any connections with recent well publicised attacks.

Strange that 2 days after an attack which is reported to be of a certain style, a leaked reports comes out to imply the threat is actually the opposite side. We're absoluty being played.

In the run up to the crash we had an economy that depended in large part on on receipts from the building, sale and purchase of property…all inflated by gombeen politicians, yes men, media etc etc

We had a bubble and a badly mismanaged economy very exposed to one sector before the IMF came....one could argue we still do ...although not as concentrated in that particular area.

If we were well off it was a risky kind of based on paper well off.....it wasn't even a new money type of well off.... it was gobshite gets lucky in a three shell game while the grifters line up a bigger score kind of rich.

AGS will know the whereabouts of convicted rapists and pedos. Do they have that info available for syrians or africans? No.

And their backgrounds? Are they vetted?

Its not a stretch to think that we are getting the dregs from other countries.
