I worked in that area for 3-4 years. It is scumbag central, and you have a better chance of Pat Kenny ringing you telling you you have won the cash machine then of seeing a Guard around there.

I've been speechless and angry all day.

The way he is going on and on and on he has clearly gotten over that.

Im not sure why anyone would put themselves through camping at electric picnic and then the nightmare of getting out of the place - they pay heavily to enjoy this torture.

Its Dublin city centre. What the hell do they expect. The only people you find in there on a Sunday are scumbags and naive idiots the scumbags prey on.

So he rang the Gardaí at 7pm. The fireworks incident really escalates at 7:30PM and the guards turn up an hour later? In the heart of our capital. What's the excuse this time?

And now this caller rang as well at 7:28PM as well. Would that not be a signal to them that they need to get a move on?

Edit: Oh do you know happened? The Gardaí were stuck in a traffic jam at Electric Picnic. 😉

Salsa dancers cut off so Joe can take another swipe at English Melvin

When I was there it was grand. Definitely no guards within a country mile though. Ever.

    "Feral local people"

This show is about to get interesting. The switchboard will be more jammed than the exit out of Electric Picnic.

When I used to go to festivals in a car I'd either make sure I left a bit early or would plan to be almost last out and keep occupied until then. No point sitting in a queue for hours getting pyssed off.

On bikes, of course, it's all different and easy.

Maybe he should have said - 'we need you down here!' rather dan just spreading de wurd

Guards aint de brightest. Some of dem need to be reminded to take a breath.

Definitely Duffy using the very Irish traffic mayhem as an excuse to swipe at everything EP because of the Wolfe Tones.

    Petty man.

The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

Considering in that area you have a number of US banks, Google HQ etc, whoy, whoy could they not have one or two gardai there permanently?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,511 ✭✭✭touts

Joe should get that fuckwit from the Irish Council for Civil Liberties to explain why the civil liberties of these feral thugs are more important than the safety of law abiding people.

Helen will be walking around Grand Canal Square in her green high heels tomorrow with the Garda Commissioner telling everybody it's safe.

Also, strange that Joe didn't cover the story of the tourist that was murdered in Dublin City centre this year after giving so much publicity to the case the previous summer when the scumbags knocked the American guy unconscious. I wonder why the double standards?
