Vacant building in Ballyboden on fire

Its such a shame to lose these old buildings. It reminds me of when many of the landlords houses were burned after Independence. We lost 275 beautiful houses. Very short sighted thinking of it's the anti-immigrant crew. Ignorant thugs will be thugs.

How about waiting for facts and not just jumping to conclusions? It could be an electrical fault, arson by owner for insurance, kids messing, fascists burning it down, all possible.

Doesnt have to have been an official proposed site. A few chinese whispers, bit of rumour and someone migh satisfy their pyromaniac tendencies.

As another poster said, its not a surprise. Cloak and dagger stuff going on with sites, very little transparency from Government and general fear mongering is fueling (no pun intended) alot of this

Ridiculous. There are IPAs accommodation being opened in B&B & old hotels everyday around the country.
