Hi, I have a problem with Clear Mobile. I need to call Italy for my job, but all the Italian numbers I call can't hear me or reciprocate the call. I tried to contact Clear Mobile support using the chat, but the chat is no longer working. I tried then using their FB page, stating the chat is no longer active and I received only a bit of generic advice from them. "Try to refresh the page in your browser after deleting the cookies". Obviously, it doesn't work!

I definitely think that Clear Mobile isn't a serious operator!! No email, no phone number, no chat...What's going on with them? I switched to CM attracted by the low tariff, but now I think to leave them if low tariff means no customer suppport

For 14.99 a month that's the point of 48, GoMo, Clear Mobile- none of them have immediate support available. It's all done online, through email or Chat and no stores. When GoMo launched a few years back I tried it out and had to contact support for something and it took them several days to come back with a half baked response that I had to reply to and again, took several days for them to come back. When it works it works but when it doesn't good luck trying to find support. I feel your pain though. I don't really understand the point of Clear Mobile. It has limited speeds unlike GoMo, 48 at the same price point and nothing really unique.

Eir prepaid for 20e a month gives unlimited calls, texts and 5G and a call centre in Ireland if you wanted the comfort of knowing you've 1901 or proper care channel in the event you needed support. To me, because I'm impatient and find it far quicker, more reliable and easier pick up the phone to a support team am happy to pay that few extra euro a year to have access to that. I pay that little bit more for Digiweb broadband for the same reason- ability to get proper customer care if needed over ringing say Vodafone broadband team and going round and round in circles and customer care.

I'm having a strange problem with clear that they won't take my money! I'm unable to update my card details on their website it keeps telling me the card is invalid, for both my current account and revolut.

Got an email now telling me they will suspend my service if payment isn't revieced but they are basically uncontactable. Not bothered about losing the service but don't like leaving debts behind.

    🙈🙉🙊

The card I had registered originally expired and can't seem to update it.

I understand that but you usually pay in advance so you shouldn’t owe them anything. Try give them a call and see what they can do.

That's An Post, not Clear (which is a subsidiary of Vodafone).

My service was eventually suspended until they starting taking from the new card, all without ever managing to get in touch with any sort of customer service.

    Thanks for that

I got a message back on their Facebook from what appears to be a human being saying that they know there's an issue and they're working on it, won't be long - so that's kind of hopeful

I should just jump ship and go with Go-Mo, i'm just trying to avoid the faff

If you need to call Italy (or anywhere else) I strongly/highly recommend KEEPCALLING

    https://keepcalling.com/international-calls/Italy?currency=EUR

Your credit never expires and you program all your speed dials on their website.

They are I believe, the best in the business.

YOLLA says FROM 24.2 US Cents per minute for mobile. (And I don't trust 'from' pricing)

KEEPCALLING costs 1.6 EU Cents per minute for mobile.

Landline calls appear to be cheaper with YOLLA but what does FROM 1c really mean?

this is what I was referring to.

What an absolute usless POS company, I'm in the same boat, they stopped taking the funds from the account which hasn't changed since sign-up, then suspended the number! So if I try to log in to pay the bill they send an sms message for verification or whatever to the number they suspended! how idiotic is that?

They are uncontactable! I think the Regulator shouldn't be allowing companies to set up operations like this, they should have better rules for consumers.

I'm off to trustpilot first, then send in a complaint to the ComReg

Pretty sure Skype has transparent pricing. For both Mobiles and Landlines. Been a while since I've used it, but it was fairly straightforward about a year ago. Just had to add €5 credit to my account and probably still have €4.80 left after a couple of UK Calls 12 months ago.

GoMo's great, except for their international rates, which don't matter to most people as they're going to use WhatsApp, FaceTime etc to call abroad anyway.

If you're calling abroad a lot for some reason, you're better off going with one of the 30 day rolling plans sim only plans on Eir or 3.

Make sure they didn't charge you a reconnection fee for der own feck up. Its not even clear on face of invoicing "other account charges - in arrears". Its a 25EUR charge, the online chat are refunding me

It's worth the faff, its an issue that is still ongoing, 6months of same issue, two incorrect suspensions, I just can't trust them as a service provider. I'm off, Sky also now in the market so even more sim-free options away from Clear Mobile.

Clear Mobile is to Vodafone what GoMo is to Eir, but GoMo's actually a pretty decent product. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Clear has data speed caps of 5Mbit/s which is ridiculous in this day and age.

    I don't know what Vodafone's up to.

Does anyone know if there's any issues with roaming with Clear Mobile?

One of my family had issues with 48 abroad and I moved them to GoMo, thinking of doing the same with my Clear Mobile family member.
