Toilet seat

    I’ve bought a D shaped seat to replace one 20yrs old. Toilet has standard 155mm ( second pic) between the holes for attachment . The seat is one of those where you put on chrome attachment to toilet and slip on the seat ( can be easily removed for cleaning) My query is , the holes on the seat to ‘click in’ are 17mm apart (pic 3) . Does this mean that the seat won’t fit or is there leeway. Spec shown here.

    Problem is I can’t open plastic packaging if I need to return.. Any help appreciated . Thanks
