Is it a court-room in the 4 Courts or one in the new courts of criminal justice building up by the park?

Presumably it'll be the 4 Courts as he had his parents do the scouting and reporting back to him on the judges actions there.

That actually has me wondering where the junior members of the family are today, like would he/they be thinking of a holiday abroad instead of being a guest of the nation again?

it is not an impossible situation though….if found by a judge to be in contempt, you go to prison until you purge your contempt.

Then no more trips to the school while he’s in prison. If he purges his contempt and goes back to the school, he broke the promise not to repeat offend and so back to prison.

  • Registered Users Posts: 811 ✭✭✭kazamo

not struggling with this at all.

When he loses his job, I expect him to still turn up outside the gates because he doesn’t seem likely to back down from his crusade. So, no matter what dismissal process occurs in the school, they will still have an Enoch Burke problem at the school gate.

You’re approaching this from a rationale viewpoint, how would a normal person react. Where has Enoch Burke come across as rational or normal ?

if found by a judge to be in contempt, you go to prison until you purge your contempt.

Clearly you don't, considering he has been released multiple times without purging his contempt.

The farce has gone on long enough.

The school are now declaring this a clear health and safety issue for both the staff and the children.

Tusla and Gardaí should be descending on the school

But they won't, the school will have to shell out 1000s in barrister fees to do the states job for them.

Looney Tunes which I would suggest would only happen in this country.

    It's off that charts cowardice.

The four courts are the civil courts. The new building is the criminal courts of justice

You’re actually proving my point……the fact the judge set aside court contempt and let him out anyway has led to this farce.

And going through the termination process won’t change a thing because he will still turn up after his dismissal to stand outside the gates.

This farce will continue until he is sent back to prison and not allowed out until he pledges to stop showing up. And if he shows up after, back to prison.

I agree with your cowardice comment…..but this country has been like that for decades….hardly going to change now.

TBF to the judges in this country they are acutely aware how flimsy and potentially unconstitutional or contempt laws are.

Jailing him indefinitely for contempt is exactly what he and is batshít family want.

We need to stop giving them what they crave.

I suppose it's not possible, but I would like to see the judge forbidding reporting on this and stopping media and public within 1km of the school also, while EB is there. OK, OK, free speech and all that, but it's what I'd LIKE to see. Remove the oxygen of publicity.

Let them protest down the road in Multyfarnham if they want

I'd like to see EB being prevented from being within 5km (at least) of the school.

That would be a better outcome.

Yes, I should have included EB in that somewhere too. Stop the lot of them. And injunct the family from the courtroom/environs also. They have form.

I have to agree @Boggles. EB and his family to be very honest are getting way more leniency that many others would. I mean he no longer works at the school and was ordered to not go near the school, and yet is persisting in doing so. If any of us did the same we wouldn't get the same leeway.

Or put him under house arrest where he also has to sign on at Castlebar garda station every day at 11am.

I have to assume if the school is looking to have him recommitted to prison then whether he’s there or not isn’t affecting the appeal? Suppose as was suggested he would turn up regardless.

Thoughts on schooling: If Mrs Burke is still running a school, with the new school term up and running, does she, or any family member with teaching degrees, not have to spend due time there professionally to keep the her school running? Hopefully it will tie Mrs Burke down physically to her duty there. I don't know whether the one son in the same job is going to be useful to her there. Maybe WHS is not the place the Gardai will need to visit to locate him.

Can't we just like beat him up or something?

Joking aside, the logical avenues don't work on his ilk. Maybe the Russians are onto something the way they deal with naysayers

See on Facebook last night 4 Garda called to the house looking for the Enoch lad and daddy went off on a rant about transgender and said he wasn’t home,

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,952 ✭✭✭✭aloyisious

A different judge giving him the chance that justice requires, to answer the latest claim against him that he is still disobeying the court order not to attend at WHS. All going as usual, Enoch will place the cuffs on his own wrists before the judge says "take him to Mountjoy". While it's possible that he will be at WHS on Monday for collection before an audience, I don't think there'll be a row as it would be recorded by any "onlookers" along with [hopefully] the new Garda body-cameras. Violence against Gardai would link his activities to a criminal assault offence, No more Nice Judge in the High Court dealings, an appearance before a circuit court judge might end his gallop.

Just lock him up, enough is enough. Let him play the Christian martyr in jail for however long it takes. Contempt not just of court but making a mockery of law as well as harassing the school and it's pupils.

Not home me hole, where else is he going to be? The next question should have been where is he then. I love how the Burke's have no problem lying when it suits them, they're scumbags.

Was at the pub having a pint and a chat about his work day / week as a religious psycho stalker with a PhD.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

He’s a desperate man on the run.

Check the tank room in Nelson Mandela House.

Or in a gay bar, Mammy would have him out of the house so fast his feet wouldn't touch the ground 😊

saw the video of the aul fella and the guards. What a dose. They are obsessed with transgender people which is more than a bit creepy.
my mam mentioned it when I was over last night and she said it’s disgraceful how he’s been treated over not calling a she a he and I explained that’s not the issue at all, she said oh I didn’t know that.
I said to her even if you don’t believe in transgenderism then at least basic human decency should make you think here’s a teenager with issues maybe I shouldn’t make things worse for them.
EB doesn’t give a toss about the person he wants to make noise and be noticed, probably for mammys affection.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I’m happy for my taxes to house him in the joy for his natural.

Can't understand how anyone would be happy to see him locked up. He is a clown and a dose but he is not dangerous.

The country is full of dangerous violent criminals with multiple convictions, walking the streets. Maybe when all of them are in jail we could start considering the likes of EB.

It would be far cheaper and easier if the state just paid for security at the gate of the school to ensure he doesn't enter the premises. Let him stand outside the gate for the winter.

Where would I find that video?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,183 ✭✭✭Eoineo

It's on EB's X account as well as on Facebook. It is nearly trending on X because so many bots are commenting and interacting with it.

My predictions are either (a) Gardaí lift him on Monday morning as he presents at the school once again. He's not technically being arrested, the Gardaí are acting on a warrant to escort him to the Court. or (b) He is at the High Court early on Monday morning to lodge an injunction on an ex parte basis.

I don't think he will be seen this weekend, the rubbish mill will continue in the meantime.

You can't understand why the long suffering school staff and children would want a break from this absolute cretin? You sure?

If he was doing it to where you live would you still be confused?

Anyway when you are jailed for contempt, you are basically given the key to your own cell. He can leave any time he wishes.
