Greeting from St. Annes park on an absolutely stunning day.

Yeah there is an imported disease called Fireblight which is impacting the Hawthorn trees. Sad to see. I am not sure if they will die to the same extent of the ash trees which is estimated at 95%+.

Jaysus Gonza, your sky looks like Ireland and Ireland's sky looks like Spain what are the chances😁.

I'm sure it will be a one off bad day in Spain and it probably still 26 degrees.

Sun only trying to break through at almost 7pm in east clare. Dark , grey, humid crap most of the day.

They're all only snowflakes out there in them hot countries. Dunshaughlin will be buzzing tonight !

@goingmadted, What's the story in Clare?? Is it cloudy there today?

One of my favourite places is north Clare, ie Ennistymon, Doolin, Cliffs of Moher. Absolute heaven on a sunny day. So having yesterday off I headed up there on Thursday night and spent all day yesterday there. It was paradise. Mid 20's and sunny from lunchtime, we thought we were back in Spain, it was that good. Tralee, as posters in the south have attested, was swathed in a thick cloud blanket all day until the evening. And the same today. Sun shone out here in Tralee for about 30 mins around lunchtime today and lit up the entire place as only proper sunshine can do, but by 2.30 the blanket was back and it was gloom for the rest of the afternoon and even worse this evening.

For once my obsession with weather and weather apps paid off. I spotted a window of good weather up the country and I made hay and literally experienced a country of two halves in one weekend. Gotta feel sorry for the many under the cloud blanket that didn't experience how wonderful that sunshine really was.

When are you home ?

I was just going to say the same, imagine if everything closed in Ireland because of the rain😂.

It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves today in St. Annes Park.

It was like being abroad with the farmers market and all the food stalls, everyone spreadout all over the park with picnic blankets andcamping chairs enjoying the food alfresco, like the Spanish or Italians would!

Yeah cloud all day in east clare. Mid west and south lucked out today. The west of clare seemed to have a clear day. Yesterday was great here but grey as fck today.

One day. cant complain. But yes west clare is a great part of the country.

Heavy drizzle and gales now.

Autumn is back. Windy all week too from the NW so the 9.3mm of rain is going to get a top up.

Grey and misty/damp day here in NCD.

Not too cold though.

This date last year Navan tipped 29.9C. Sryan had the readings from the station opposite Tara Mines . I'm still not sure how official this station is as regards location.

Wednesday cool and breezy. Heavy showers especially N with hail/thunder a possibility.

On a positive note GFS has very little rainfall for the south over the next day 10 days

This came up in Facebook memories, a year ago today ,I miss these temperatures

A coolish start to today but dry. All is good however, in the process of drying clothes and packing clothes for a few weeks away in Tenerife tomorrow
