I joined about a few seconds after 12pm, there were 14 people in front of me. I had a quick nose at what the VIP package was and then went back and got Front Standing. Email confirmation at 12.05pm.

had a similar experience but released those tickets and searched again, did this twice and got my front standing tickets. Went back on around 5pm just fr gits and shiggles to look and could get front standing no problem. Typical Ticketmaster, just happy it’s not like the UK, lots of people complaining about seats disappearing when clicked and standing tickets only being offered as part of a 4* hotel package (in a fookin fan presale!).

wonder if it’s anything to do with maiden saying no to their dynamic pricing bullshit.

Initial allocations for the UK definitely weren't big enough, they added more general admission tickets for fanclub to London and Manchester yesterday evening.

Definitely considering going to this as I'm a huge Maiden fan all my life but have never gone to see them live.

Rumours this might be their final gig as Dave is looking to retire and Nicko isn't 100% after his stroke and in fairness touring every year is damn hard.

Just got 2 front standing tickets. 96 each inc fees. Mastercard pre sale

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,880 ✭✭✭RayCon

Ditto …. went smooth like the bonnet of a Porsche 😎

I'd drive to the Red Cow, get the Luas into Connolly, and get the dart from there. That way you avoid M50 and concert traffic.

Looking forward to this one. I seen them in Belfast in 2022, and last summer in the 3 arena. I think there was only a 4 song overlap between the two set lists. I doubt they will play much from Somewhere in Time, considering they toured that album on the last tour. I guess The Phantom of the Opera will be played, as its being used in the promo videos for the tour. I've only seen it performed live once back in 2005 in the RDS.

The front standing looks to be gone on the Mastercard presale. Bollocks. Hopefully there'll be more for the MCD presale and general sale.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,513 ✭✭✭Shred

I only just read an MCD mail I got yesterday and noticed presale was active…thought I’d chance my arm and surprisingly got 4 GA tickets with a minimum of fuss 😮 U16s are also permitted once accompanied.

For anyone looking it seems to be just an open sale; search for the gig on TM and you should be able to get tickets (atm at least).

I got a couple of Front Standing just now. What location exactly does that mean in Malahide Castle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,328 ✭✭✭Fanirish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,041 ✭✭✭3DataModem

Is it pretty civilised? A 50 year old and 15 year old will be able to be fairly comfortable… ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,823 ✭✭✭lertsnim

Only the Mastercard and Fan Club pre sales are available now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭reubenreuben

I'm assuming it is same as gold circle as other malahide gigs call it that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,165 ✭✭✭rednik

Got 4 front standing through MCD presale within seconds.

Seems they’re on saleto everyone now, though I think ticketmaster said mcd presale. Either way, front row standing easily purchased. Can’t wait!

great, just got two tickets. No chaos like the oasis fiasco!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,801 ✭✭✭flasher0030

That's where Maiden went wrong. They should have officially retired 10 years ago. And this would be their comeback. Would be much more hype.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,529 ✭✭✭Mike Guide 69

No gold circle tickets left , I’ll try tomorrow on general sale

Went wrong? Did I miss something?

I clicked on the MCD email link last night and was put into the Mastercard pre-sale with no front standing available so I left the browser open re-searching to see if any Front standing came up (and none did)

I refreshed at 2 mins to 9 this morning and was put into the MCD queue - #286 at 9am with Front Standing readily available.

People need to be careful not to go for the General standing as I'm sure there will be a lot of Front standing still to be sold and available in the morning, and even if not this is one where there will probably be lots put up for re-sale in the weeks before the event

    9am tomorrow for tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,823 ✭✭✭lertsnim

Friday at noon for the general sale.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭xpletiv

Mastercard is pulled off the website, just the fan code there now at the moment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭xpletiv

    5 mins to go…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,660 ✭✭✭ILikeBoats

The app has gone to sh!te. Clicking "Join the queue" and nothing happens. Have to go and force open in browser

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,722 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Seems to only have general standing?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,529 ✭✭✭Mike Guide 69

Ticketmaster holding back the gold circle tickets as usual!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,274 ✭✭✭twin_beacon

got my ticket there. 1200 in the queue ahead of me so almost straight in. €91.30 including the booking fees. nothing wrong with that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 452 ✭✭Ant

I tried searching a few times but only get "We Couldn't Find Your First Choice" when I try to get a Front Standing ticket. :(

Annoyed with no gold circle, sure could have bought a normal standing in the last few days. But ive caved and bought it. Was 1400 in front of me at 12. Tip seems to be to log in before quarter to and go to the page.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,529 ✭✭✭Mike Guide 69

Queue is less and less as people are p*ssed off seeing no gold circle tickets, can you blame them , joke!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,654 ✭✭✭✭Mental Mickey

I can't get in on the app or the website

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,328 ✭✭✭Fanirish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 711 ✭✭✭BOHSBOHS

only 20 odd ahead of me in queue at 12. and by time I got in(2 secs later) no front standing/goldcircle left. so TM holding back or sold out in presales

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 452 ✭✭Ant

Bah! But thanks for letting us know the bad news. I had assumed that some Front Standing tickets would be reserved for the general sale today. Beasty's post yesterday also gave me cause to be optimistic.

I'm sure there will be a lot of Front standing still to be sold and available in the morning

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,529 ✭✭✭Mike Guide 69

Holding back more like ,saving for the VIP selection. When no one will pay the ridiculous prices for those tickets ,Ticketmaster will drop them onto Gold Circle ,classic rinse and repeat!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,315 ✭✭✭Unrealistic

There's nothing listed yet but you might also consider https://travelmaster.ie/ if they do run buses to this gig.

We used them for a Malahide gig last year travelling from Galway. It was very handy. Parked the car in town in Galway, got on the bus and relaxed until we were delivered to the coach park, just a couple of minutes walk from the entrance to the venue. Then, back on the bus within minutes of the band leaving the stage and I was asleep before we'd even left the carpark. I felt safe having a couple of pints before the main band came on as well as it was six hours before I was getting back behind the wheel of my own car. It was a much better experience than having to drive back to Galway myself in the early hours of the morning and avoids the expense and hassle of having to get from the gig back to a Dublin hotel.

Picked up four tickets this morning, easy peasy, no stress, no price gouging, very straightforward.

I got in eventually. Got two general admission tickets - have contacted them to see if I can exchange them for accessible area ones. Also, I didn't know that gift cards couldn't be used on the app? Bloody bank account is haemorrhaging lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,726 ✭✭✭dasdog

My brother got front standing for €91.30 until I told him he better check that again - cue a text back with lots of swearing about TM and he's cancelled the order. I'd be confident front tickets will be available at some stage. I'll probably go myself as I love the early albums. Last time I saw them was the RDS and it was really dull but I'll give them a pass on that.

1990 was the only other time and even though Metallica/Slayer/Megadeth and others had taken over at that stage they were still great.

I was there - I think that was the first time Maiden had ever played Ireland 🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭xpletiv

They were absolutely class last year and that was a decent amount of newer stuff. I am really looking forward to seeing all of the old classics together.

My first ever metal cd I bought (as in acquired legitimately) was Live After Death, which I bought in the Virgin Records store downstairs in the shopping centre bit of the Louvre on a 4th year France trip.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,115 ✭✭✭eviltimeban

Ah gas, my first ever metal album was also Live After Death, the double LP version. I still have it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,726 ✭✭✭dasdog

It was - mad to think now but the IRA allegedly had put out a threat against them playing here and The Trooper is still a loyalist symbol. I'd be fairly republican minded myself but no subversive organisation should tell you what music you can and cannot listen to.

First album I ever bought was Killers for £5 - still have it.

Got my ticket, general admin, no issues.

First time getting to see a band I have been a fan of since the early 90's.

I'm sure it will be their last, but glad I'll get to see them.

NoNow to spend the rest of the year listening to their songs to build up excitement... I'm sure their back catalogue will cover a year!

    Up the Irons!

Clever word play may win debates, but it doesn't make it true.

Understanding and explaining things, is not the same as justifying them, if in doubt… please re-read this statement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,115 ✭✭✭eviltimeban

Given the energy they had last year, and the quality of Bruce's voice, I can see them going for a while yet!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,078 ✭✭✭xpletiv

Still standing available, so not as popular as last time they were here, as that sold out on first day i think? Still no sign of the front tickets though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 554 ✭✭✭colmufc

Extra 7k tickets to sell, this is a Wednesday and last year was a Saturday show, makes a big difference in people's wallet/time off, I'd be surprised if they have not sold close to 17k or 18k by now
