It seems like a Jewish right wing are determined to start a Middle East war and WWIII . Israel is the equivalent of a Fascist state and it’s time to call them out as such .

    No. Just, no.

Things will die down I think. Just another spasm of conflict and power realignment in the Middle East.

The jews already started it with Russia and Ukraine. Look at who is backing Ukraine and who controls them? The wealthy oligarchs in Russia all fled on their Israeli passports and managed to evade sanctions too so it isn’t even the scumbag elites of Russia who are suffering, just normal Russians and Ukrainians. Now Israel has clearly overplayed its hand with the Middle East where the world has questioned maybe the US is not the good guy and in fact the opposite to what the US claims may actually be true. Dangerous to think what may happen if the Israelites are backed into a corner.

Hopefully the next Chinese virus will finish humanity off for good; world peace. Until of course the gorilla fight the chimpanzee for global domination, but as an optimist I'm hoping for an enlightened orangutan hedgemony.

Maybe but it seems like Palestinian's are being punished for being sitting ducks .Israel are bullies because the superpower of the world backs them to the hilt . I don’t see much difference between them and other sectarian governments

By comparison to Europe? Any time before the existence of the state of israel. If the middle east is unstable, it's because a violent, fanatical cult was parachuted in there to fight to the death to "take back" a "homeland" which never really existed.

The people who were actually living there for a hundred generations naturally objected to the cultist invasion. All those Hollywood fantasy movies about aliens invading the earth and building an alien world over the graves of the human inhabitants? That is just the average Palestinian experience.

By comparison to anywhere else on the planet the middle east has always been violent.

It is the well spring of imperialism, of the most radical extreme religious intolerance.

The last century has been some of the more enlightened.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,453 ✭✭✭thatsdaft

You shouldn’t have any difficulty then naming a period of let’s say one generation of 25-30 years where there wasn’t conflict in this part of the world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 986 ✭✭✭Everlong1

Make up your mind. Are they Jews or Israelites? ( a word no one uses any more by the way. Try ISRAELIS).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,897 ✭✭✭✭Sand

The Ottomans controlled the middle east from the early 1500s to the end of WW1 in the early 1900s. By comparison to the Thirty Years War, The Eighty Years War, The French Wars of Religion, The Italian Wars, the Anglo-Spanish war, the Thirteen years war, the War of the Three Kingdoms, the Spanish-Portuguese War, the Franco-Spanish war, the Anglo-Dutch wars, the war of the Holy League, the Nine Years War, the Great Northern War…I'm still just just in the very early 1700s and skipping over a lot of wars and conflicts.

The middle east was relatively peaceful for many centuries. Until the violent cultists of israel were parachuted into it with a mission to conquer new state. The last century has seen an alien invasion of the region, and terrible crimes against humanity against it's inhabitants. It is weird to demonise people as violent for resisting an invasion.

Many Jews do not support the war or the extreme conservative government in Israel. Israel is trying to destroy Hezbollah at the moment whether they intend to go for a full scale war is not known at the moment

Theres no more talk of a peace process or a ceasefire from the government

They could not do this with billions in weapons from America

Even if Iran attacked Israel that does not mean it's a world war

I don't support Israel or the IDF

1000s of Jews have left their homes because of missile attacks from Hezbollah

The idf wants to maybe wipe out Hezbollah or at least destroy their ammo dumps missile launchers

The problem is Hezbollah is spread in amongst civilian areas. Attacking Hezbollah will result in the deaths of innocent civilians

The idf have killed reporters and peace political protestors in Israel

Its hard to imagine right now any peaceful agreement to end the present conflict it seems to be in an escalation spiral

Well, you've got the dozen history books claiming the region has never seen peace. I don't. You list out all the wars fought in the region of currently referred to as israel uninterrupted between 1500 to 1948.

It's your claim the region was incredibly violent at all times so its okay for the israeli regime to be incredibly evil today. Prove it.

England and France alone have fought 41 wars against each other since the year 1109.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,453 ✭✭✭thatsdaft

My comment to which you replied was about the Middle East, neither have I mentioned Israel

Now you are trying to shift the goal posts having realised “oh **** the Middle East has always been a dumpster fire” and hence not being able to name a quarter of century of peace in the Middle East

You are either being disingenuous, or your reading comprehension is as bad as your history

Speaking of which perhaps the Palestinians and Lebanese should invite the Turks, French and Brits back to lord over them, happy days those were

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,897 ✭✭✭✭Sand

Nah, its your claim there has been constant, remarkable, incredible level of conflict in the Middle East which is completely out of step with the calm and passivity the rest of the world has enjoyed. You have the dozen history books. I don't. List the constant conflicts fought over israel for the period between the Ottoman conquest and WW1.Show me the exceptional level of violence which was completely out of step with say, Europe over the same time period.

The reality you're paid to ignore is the Middle East has become a violent place because of the invasion 80 years ago by a foreign terrorist cult trying to establish a homeland which never really existed over the graves of the people who have lived there for two thousand years. Invasion invites resistance. The violence of the invaders is not the fault of the defenders.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,241 ✭✭✭volchitsa

The Ottomans’ version of peace required each successor to murder all his potential male heirs to end the constant fratricidal rebellions that had been the norm until then.

There were also regular uprisings from other quarters too.

So maybe not much more peaceful than Europe - more a different way of doing things.

Killing a half dozen brothers was more violent than killing 4.5m to 8m people (Thirty Years War alone)?

What you're acknowledging is the Middle East was actually quite peaceful by comparison to Europe in the same time period, and the cost was a half dozen princes rather than 8 million peasants. If the Middle East seems violent today, it is because israel is waging a terror war against its inhabitants. It isn't their fault they choose not to lay down and die.

Before the Israeli occupation. The most exciting thing that happened before that involved sheep. Seriously. A rural area of nothing to report.

So all the groups (and their backers) that have been attacking Israel are totally blameless in all of this?

I think it is sick they are harming and killing so many children targeting strategic sites and buildings.

Benji has had a life long mission to eradicate Palestine now turing to the surrounding Arab states this current conflict probably will escalate to war with Iran and Lebanon.

Yet it isn't the Jews or Israelis causing all these terrorist attacks around Europe. It wasn't the Jews who flew two airplanes into the twin towers either. So who are the real terrorists here? I don't want any innocent people being killed but Hamas and Hezbollah are Islamic terrorist organizations. Israel has every right to try and put them out of commission imo.

of course not and Iran has been stirring stuff for awhile. But Israel has entered into the disproportionate world and that has even more long term implications.

Anyway, I blame Blair and Bush. Should just have left Iran and Iraq continue their shadow war. They interfered and so much damage has come from this including issues in Europe.

Well they don't kill people for being gay in Israel. Muslims and Christians live in Israel as well. Would a Jew, Christian or gay person be welcome amongst the Palestinians? There was Jewish settlers in that area long before the Arabs arrived. btw There was never a Palestinian state. It was a geographic area. It's the equivalent of calling Antarctica a country imo. Can you actually name me an historic Palestinian leader from before the era of television?

I would say there is a fairly good chance that Israel has killed Palestinian gays.

There is no doubt the most violent continent / Region in human history is Europe from the west coast of Ireland to the Ural Mountains in Russia. Thats where most of the dispicable acts of hatred and violence in human history has occurred . And the current crisis in the Middle East is as a result of fall out from extremely depraved inhumane violence in Europe during ww2.

Hamas and Hezbollah were going to try and exterminate the Jewish people, regardless of anything that both Blair and Bush did.

the point being that Iran was far more interested in watching Iraq to have any time for Israel.

Exactly . You are as much a terrorist as the PLO , IRA , and the ANC . Wait , John Hume won the Nobel peace prize for helping to bring the Troubles to an end where the British government was rightly shown to be an apartheid state . Likewise South Africa whose ‘terrorist ‘ leader Nelson Mandela is rightly remembered as a humanitarian idol and a person who fought against injustice . Yasser arafat won self determination for Palestine . People like you will be shown up for what you are are . Racist people who think your way is the only way. Benjamin Netanyahu with go down in history the same as Slobodan Milošević all other ‘ national leaders ‘ I hope he dies a horrible death , and soon .

Why not put sanctions on them or is that not allowed by Uncle Sam ?

Israel grew complacent over the last 20 years. That peace was possible, for Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran et al war is a divine command and the list of who they must kill is very long and it will never change.

After a year of constant attack. Israel hit back hard and it must keep hitting back now till it's enemies and they all our enemies too are dead and broken.
