looks like a very practical EV, not many in this space, only 4.16 meters long, but has good height at 1.57 meters.

I had a poke around in it today at the motor show in Paris.

This UK car review, says RHD models, won’t get the front seat “fold flat” feature,

Its would have been a handy and practical option having that feature, even for non surfers.

The car would need to be considerably cheaper than a Skoda Elroq to win customers. The Elroq is a shrunk Enyaq while this is an oversized Renault 5.

No it would not. The 4 has something the Elroq will not have for a long time and that is a legacy and a history as well as an actual logo on it unlike new Skodas.

TlThe new Renault 5 is an excellent car that has recieved rave reviews so nothing wrong with being based on the same platform as that at all.

It is a cheaper platform. It won't be as refined and the Elroq has the same wheelbase as an Enyaq so it is quite large.

20 cm longer wheelbase than a Renault 4.

I doubt either of them platforms are in anyway cheap.

Refined lol. You know these are electric cars right. They will both be very refined. Anyway I know which one I would prefer to have. You can have the dull no logo Skoda if you want I will take a 4 anyday over that. I do not need the extra space of the Elroq.

There is no objective metric on which the Renault 4 will beat the Elroq. It had better be cheap.

Yes there it. The 4 will have a better user interface and physical controls for the HVAC controls unlike the Elroq so the 4 will be the safer car to drive too.

The Renault 4 is built on the "Ampere Small" which is a budget platform. Elroq is built on MEB platform which is the mainstream EV platform for VAG mainstream product. It also has backlit buttons on screen and dedicated HVAC control always visible on screen. VAG version 4 software is excellent. You have been reading reports about VAG software from 4 years ago. The renault 4 really needs to be considerably cheaper than an Elroq to be considered.

I did not read any reports about any VW software but you yourself just said it. HVAC controls for the Elroq are in the touchscreen which means if the driver wants to turn up the heat or the speed etc they have to use a touchscreen but not in the 4. Anyway I am done arguing with you. You are obviously VW mad. Can not say that I envey you.

I think you will have to do a side by side comparisson before placing an order because the Elroq is a class higher than a Renault 4. I hope the truth dawns before you put money down.

As someone who was driving Renault in the 70s and 80s, I would not put any value on their legacy and history. TBH, they would be better off keeping quiet about it.

I don't think AMKC has a driver's license? Apologies if I'm mixing them up with someone else.
