Power still getting to it as the light is on and green still..just wont charge the mower unfortunately…

When you say "no power output at the contacts" I presume you men yours is/was the same..had power going to station but not charging the mower??

Have tested mower on another charger and it charges, so is an issue with the charging station contact points I'd say…

    Hi.

I bougth our Mower (Lidl PMRDA 20-Li A1) back in summer, and it doe a good job in our small back garden. I would also like to use the same mower for the front lawn. Is it possible get a second base station to power the proximity wires for the front garden, or are there any other option to do this?

    Couple of questions

What is the recommended procedure for winter storage - battery at 60% ?

Can you wash the underside with running water ?

Should the battery be disconnected over winter

Is it OK to leave the charging station outside ?

Yes - I measured the voltage at the charger contacts where the mower docks to on the faulty dock and a good dock. From memory it was ~20v on the good one and nothing on the bad one.

I have a question on replacing the (PMRDA 20-Li A1)screen display and buttons units.

I have the older model  (Lidl PMRDA 20-Li A1) and the buttons will no longer turn on the mower and as I see posted early this seems to be a common problem with water ingress.

I'm wondering has anyone ever tried to replace the screen and buttons with new model (PMRDA 20-Li B2) screen and buttons? The parts can got off the Grizzly Website as per the below.

Existing (PMRDA 20-Li A1) display and buttons.

New (PMRDA 20-Li B2) display and buttons.

I would appreciate any guidance on this as I dont want to buy the replacement parts if they wont fit and power on the mower.

Hi POS100, I'm wondering was this display off the newer Model PMRDA 20-LI B2?

I currently have the older Model PMRDA 20-LI A1 and have taken off the display and looked under the buttons and it looks different to this picture.

    Hi Jim,

    I haven't tried this.

However I did notice that one of my moisture ingress non starting PMRDA20-Li-A1 bots did a firmware update when I put it in the dock and connected the app.

It then cut away all day - however as expected the start button didn't work so I couldn't do any menu activity that required the start button or turn it on when it powered off. The display still works 100%.

This confirms that if we get an alternative way of starting a failed bot it is usable.

Whether the replacement keypad will work or not depends on what all is damaged by the moisture, if the damage is localised to the keypad circuit then potentially if the connections are compatible it should work.

If moisture has damaged part of the keypad interface to the controller (what I suspect) then this may not work.

I hope to revisit my attempt at bypassing the keypad again and see if Ican get the broken one functioning, even finding another pin on the controller that will allow the bot to bootup would do.

    John

Hi All real great info on this thread. I have an issue that I’m not clear on how to solve. I have a short tiled 2mx2m patio that the robot Ned’s to cross to go to another part of the lawn. I think creating a gap with boundary wire through the patio solve this. If so how wide should the gap be so as not to confuse robot. Thanks in advance

    Hello.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to set the mowing zones for the robot so that on a certain day, it mows only one specific zone and does not leave it? It is clear from the instructions how to set the zones from where the robot will start mowing. But if the robot moves chaotically, it will likely leave this zone. Could it be possible to connect the boundary wire in parallel by zones, as in the picture? Will the robot respond properly at the connection points in this way?

    Hi John,
Thanks for your guidance on my issue.
My mower display is working when put mower in the dockining station to charge. The buttons on the mower have no response. I do also get the red lights on the board to light up when I plug in the button wiring loom but this doesnt turn on the display.
The mother board looks ok for water damage visibly but it could be the button pin. The buttons have gone very soft and dont make a sound when pressed or spring back up.
I have been onto lidil with the warranty and I'm waiting on a replacement since August. If I get new replacement I will swap out the full top part over to older PMRDA20-Li-A1 to see is it just the buttons .

Something not right there if you waiting since August??

I'm waiting on replacements too since Sept 2024 - havent got an ETA.

So you are both waiting on a full replacement mower, seems a long time..My faulty charging station (not a mower admittedly) has been replaced already…Maybe they have no stock but hard to fathom given approach of Spring 2025 for sales!?

Correct - I asked for an ETA on stock but have had no response yet. I'll need to chase and keep hassling no-doubt.

The 1st faulty mower I had back in 2023 got replaced pretty much immediately.
