Just wondering if anyone has been fitted for a L.A.B. putter? Or if anyone is playing with one at the moment. Would like to hear some feedback on them

I haven't seen anyone in Ireland using one yet. Was over in Florida a couple of years ago and tried them out in a big store store.

Really interesting clubs to putt with and the neutral balance thing is pretty cool.

I see they're offering 20% off at the moment and they do some sort of online fitting where you send them some details and videos of your putting stroke

Ya I saw the online fitting but if I was going spending that money I’d want to have an in person fitting. I looked up their website and it turns out there is a guy in Dublin that specialises in LAB fittings. Going up to him in January.

They are on the pricey side alright, but the technology does make a lot of sense. Haven’t heard of anyone with anything bad to say about them, except maybe pace control can sometimes suffers at the start.

Would be really interested to hear how you get on with the fitting, hope it goes well.

Sigmoid HQ had a rake of putters available plus an adjustable Lab putter that I was looking at yesterday. I played on the sim with a mate and putted with a number of different putters while having a coffee afterwards. I believe they do custom putter fittings there. https://sigmoidhq.com/

So as it turns out the fitting was at sigmoid.! I have mixed feelings after it, as it wasn’t really a fitting at all. I had specifically stated I was coming up for a LAB fitting. When I arrived the Link(blade) putter was not there, nor was the mezz. The fitter told me he had more at home, which was no real use to me.

I hit 5 putts on the Sam Puttlab and was told that the way I present the face at impact is very very good, which was a surprise. My lie and and loft on my putter was changed and was givin a few tips on my set up position and was told to go and practise these and I should see better results.

Now as stated I specifically travelled 2and a half hours up and 2and half hours back for a LAB fitting. The guy doing the fitting told me, that he’d love to sell me a putter but didn’t think it would make any difference.

While I appreciate his honesty, I still would have like to have see that data, against my own putter and at least seen for myself that the differences.

I left unhappy at the whole experience to be honest, as I was very interested to be put through a whole LAB fitting experience.

Anyone pick up a LAB since or see one in the flesh?

The technology seems to be best idea ever for the most used club in the bag, seems a no brainer

In Galway so looks like Dublin be nearest place to go get a look at one

was just about to type the same. I tried the Mezz today and was very impressed but at that price point would need to be properly fit. Does anyone know who is custom fitting these?

Sorry for resurrecting a zombie thread but I beginning to consider a new putter. Was curious about these.

They look a bit mad but I'm happy to trade looks for strokes.

Anywhere I can get fitted for one of these? Hell of an outlay to spend without going through a proper fitting.

I believe you can get fitted for them in McGuirks Golf Stores.

There is also an online fitting option I believe where you can send a video of your putting stroke to them and they give you a build based on that. Friend of mine did the online but didn't quite trust it and did it in McGuirks too and both ended up being the same. But two options anyway.

Think Sigmoid might list themselves as a LAB fitter too?

    Ah Lads.

I played with a fella a few weeks ago and he had one.

Without a doubt, the ugliest piece of metal I have seen in my life. It was like something that came out of a wood chipper.

I don't care if it shaves a few strokes off a round. The taste of vomit in my mouth everything I look down on it wouldn't be worth the saving TBH

I done the online fitting. Bought the DF3 during Black Friday sale. Really happy with the putter so far. Cant wait to get it on some good summer greens.

They've just released a new version. One that looks more like a normal putter 🤣

Spacecoyote - If I'm gonna spend all that money, I want the weirdest looking thing I can possibly get 😂

Quahog - Thank you, what was the fitting like? Easy enough? Not sure what a putter fitting would even involve tbh

You send a short video of your stroke. It explains the camera angle etc on the website. They recommend lie angle angle length form the video.

You then have some other options to choose from....upgraded shafts, different Grips and deadweight.

I went with the heavier head as the greens I normally putt on are on the slow side. Very happy with it so far.

You also get to choose from a lot of alignment aides too, i actually went with the standard one and really like it.

Fingers crossed I will still like it in the summer :)
