I just added it in under employment details with the dates and then title unemployed and reason too.

I didn't add any information regarding gaps in my employment. I just filled in the jobs I had and the dates I worked them. I even had a couple of jobs that I worked in for a week say when I was much younger and left but I didn't add them to the form as I cannot even remember the dates for them etc. I hope that sort of thing wouldn't automatically disqualify me from the competition?

Considering applying for AGS, I have very strong 6/6 unaided vision in one eye but quite weak vision in there other eye. Just wondering what the requirements are for the eye test?

Would be interested in a change in career and joining the Gardaí but don't want to apply if the eye test will preclude me before I even start.

What happens if you decide not to join the Gardai at the end of Templemore training? Are you forced to pay back all that you earned during training after being attested?

I'm currently serving as a police officer in Spain, my wife is planning on getting a job as a social worker in Ireland (she's a native English speaker) and we've been thinking on moving for a while.

I'd like to keep working as a police officer so after looking at the requirements I sent my application and I'd like to ask if anyone knows how does the vetting (and the whole selection process really) work for EU nationals?

I heard applications are way down on numbers applying for 2025 competition. The salary for the first few years are shocking and the pension scheme is gone to shatters too.

I don't think that's up to date. That's the payscale from October 2023. It's about €717 a week for year one. I haven't seen a new payscale yet. €37,311 in total for year 1.

What's the required mark to pass the aptitude test?

Where did you hear this, if you don't mind me asking?

6,700 this year so up 500 from last year.
