Yes, and it was crazy that people went on strike over handling produce from apartheid South Africa. History proves those idiots were wrong just like the International Olympic Committees decision to ban South Africa.

So you're hoping it will get praise in 40 years?

Does Neale Richmond ever take his grumpy face off. 😂

SF would happily replace the Tricolor with the Palestinian flag. I wish there was no wars, genocides etc. But, why does Ireland seem to be more worried about putting out the fires down the road, or in the next town over......when our own country is a mess? Baffles me.

If outrage at genocide is your thing, where's the constant outrage at atrocities in Yemen, or Sudan or the DRC, for example. Why is Gaza so special? Absolutely abhorrent what has happened there, no question, but what about other countries?

Sometimes it takes people that long to see they were wrong.

Sure when Trump relocates the Palestinians here, no doubt some percentage of them will seek retribution...."if you're not for us you're against us" that sort of thing.

For one thing Yemen, Sudan and the Congo aren’t getting billions in aid and billions in trade.
Also if you look at who is behind the conflict in Sudan and the Congo you will see the usual suspects figure large.

No fan of SF but I think Lynn Boylan got her points on the UN & Triple Lock across well!

Watching on +1. Shatter is 74, fresh for that.

He's turned into a very bitter old man though.

People only care about their jobs and their economic future, not Gaza.

That young black haired chap, with short beard, in the brown jumper is mature beyond his years.

Maybe you are projecting. If you believe people only care about their jobs and economic future just look at history. Look at anybody who made a decision they know would cost them because it was the right thing to do. Are Irish taxpayers in the streets protesting that the reaction to the Ukraine war has cost them €5 billion in direct exchequer funding and much more in increased energy costs?

God you're deluded. Where do you think the money to pay for paying the 5 billion, the tooth fairy?

Who do you think brings in the most tax into the country that provides Ireland citizens with a living?

The American multi nationals are the reason why we're surviving and bucketing the downward spiral for the rest of the EU. Isreal has the ears of the most unpredictable and absolute bat **** crazy leader of the free world and on a whim could make Irelands life extremely difficult

Why does Ireland have to die on a hill over symbolic gesture, it's madness and virtue signalling at it's worse

And you know the funny thing is Ireland becomes poorer, who will provide food aid to Gaza?

Oh, the, “my job may depend on not mentioning the genocide type”. How predictable. And people wonder why the Germans didn’t speak out.

That was one hell of an easy ride for Neale Richmond—little to no pressure on him for the whole show.

Katie gave him free rein, giving him a nice platform to deliver his victim speech at the start. I would have loved to know what the alternative response to October 7th that he spoke about was. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that it doesn't involve military action against Hamas. Great to see an Israeli person getting to speak on Irish television. I work with Israelis, and the abuse they receive in this country is appalling.

All bets are off with Trump now, so we may end up with Palestinians in Ireland. I've got a feeling a deal has already been made, and Europe will take in Palestinians for the duration of Gaza's rebuild. No need to worry, though—surely there'll be no shortage of Palestine supporters willing to open their doors to them?

I just have one final question about the undocumented Irish in the U.S.. Lynn Boylan brought up the issue a few times last night. What exactly is she expecting MM to do about them when he meets Trump? Would have liked Katie to ask her that also.

In fairness, he didn't get a chance to speak with Shatter showing his ignorance once again by shouting over everyone.

Absolutely, a family to each flag bearing household. Virtue signalling at its finest. Hop on a plane if you feel so strongly about it would be my answer to the flag wavers!

Europe, collectively should do everything in it's power to ensure Palestinians return to a habitable land.

Given that land is a major part in the conflict, taking the people from the land isn't going to solve the issue. Displacing Palestinians to Ireland, puts us in the middle of something we shouldn't have any business or desire to be in.

So roughly how many houses do you reckon that Darragh would have built last week if he hadn't been packing his toothbrush? Round your answer up to the nearest dozen, and don't forget to use your toes if you run out of fingers.
