Outside of Kilkenny you could make a case for two out of Galway, Dublin, Wexford and Offaly. Cant see Antrim doing much although they could take one scalp up in Corrigan. Leinster is going to be great to watch this year. The standard wont be as high as in Munster but the entertainment and excitement will be i feel.

clarification in Saturdays examiner sport saying they accept O’Donnell has not been training with Clare. Someone musta given Fogarty bad info. Interesting to see what the truth is.

Id take what Lohan says with a pinch of salt. The lad is forever naming dummy teams in the league which i see no point in. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I see Tipp v Limerick on Easter Sunday is behind a paywall. Clare v Tipp is, also. Waterford v Limerick, also. Was looking forward to the big two Munster games on April 20 being on RTE.

Leinster hurling looks like Dublin have drawn the short straw with Dublin v Kilkenny, Antrim v Dublin and Dublin v Wexford all exclusive to GAA +.

Limerick for me to win the AI. Kilkenny to win Leinster with Galway and Wexford to qualify. Cork to win Munster with Tipp to qualify obviously with Limerick.

Really looking forward to the start of the championship at the weekend. Bit of a lull the last week after the hype of cork winning the league in such style.

Cork and clare is the game most will be looking forward to. Clare are not going to roll over and let cork swan around their home patch. They'll be riled up by everyone making cork all ireland favourite while there the reigning champions. The match officials will be kept busy judging by the league game. On form have to go with cork though.

I think it's a good idea to have the leinster and munster games on separate days although it's harder for people to get to the games on Saturday. Kilkenny and galway is always close. Draws last 2 years. Wexford just have to be beating antrim at home. Anything else is unacceptable. Dublin offaly very interesting game. Dubs have a lot of time to prepare for this while offaly have been busy with league finals and u20 leinster.

On that basis I wouldn't be surprised if dublin won comfortably

Chinners continuing his Bruno Fernandes like importance for fourteen-man Wexford, hitting 10 points already. Antrim flew out of the traps, blazing an early peno over, but Wexford lead 0-14 to 0-10 with the use of the wind to come.

Just like my grandad and father lived through the Rackard and Doran eras respectively, I will tell my own kids how good Chin was.

    When was the red ?

Hard to see Antrim win any games if they are getting turned over like that.

Anyone know the attendance for the KK v Galway game? From the TV it looks poor but maybe the TV is deceptive in fairness

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 468 ✭✭letsseehere14

Looks really poor. Shocking. 8k I'd guess. Wexford park from pics I seen looked poor too.

Around the 22nd minute, Wexford were getting on top at the time and it didn't seem to make any difference .

Between the weather and pitch it feels like a league game. Still find it hard to get used to championship in April.

Kilkenny 2 injuries already. Though their starting to flow a bit now.

Galway are being dominated right now. A lot of unforced errors from them

Ger Canning losing it with his 5 pt game and mixing up his his red helmeted players.

Cathal mannion about the only Galway lad that would get into Kilkenny team

Galway are not able to cope with the modern game. Can't deal with the constant closing down and can't play the lines.

Obviously Antrim are poor, but it's strange how readily discounted Wexford have been in Leinster.

Wouldn't think there is much between them and Galway or Dublin. They're better than Offaly and have them at home, albeit the sort of game they've been liable to lose the last few years.

And looking at Galway today, there is no reason why we can't beat them either
